List of Shahram Gholami's Reviews
Not as expected. He comes off very caring at the beginning. He stated we will become friends and know each other for years and be there for any needs. We made the decision to have a Prostatetomy after assurances risk were very very low. I spoke to several people who had no issues. Seemed like a safe way to go. After the surgery I developed several medical issues. The worst, severe urinary failure. ...
Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a medical facility: 1. The nurses and doctor were late for every single appointment, when I went up to the front desk to ask when I should expect them to get me, the front desk was rude and bothered by the question even when the doctor was an hour late 2. I had to remind them to give me anesthesia for my procedure right before it happened. I had requested with the front desk and she forgot to tell them. 3. After taking a Uroflow test and waiting for the results for 2 weeks, the first thing the nurse suggested I do was to take a Uroflow test. I told her I already did and that's why I came in today to get my results. Clearly, she didn't prepare at all.... 4. The nurses gave me conflicting information and told me that I only needed to take a fiber supplement once, when I talked to the doctor he told me I needed to be taking it for the past couple of months. 5. Doctor's tone, body language, and attitude were incredibly rude on every visit. Basically, he implied my family was googling health solutions even though they were just concerned about my health and were afraid I wasn't getting it from Dr. Gholami. Hopefully, I can find some help from another Urologist because Dr. Gholami's entire staff is incredibly negligent.
I visited doctor on 8/30, one hour visit but most of the time was waiting. They collected my urine and asked me to wait for the doctor. After a long long wait, doctor came in and only stay around 2 mins then he left. He didn’t explain anything to me like why I felt pain or what just ask me to come back next month …
I was referred to Dr. Gholami late 2021and visited his office multiple times, meeting with assistants and technicians performing tests. They were all kind and attentive. I didn't meet with Dr. Gholami himself until months later, and he literally whirled into the exam room, blurted out two vague findings, said more tests were needed and opened the door to the exam room and ushered me out. The whole exchange took approximately three minutes and left me quite stunned. I was so surprised by this treatment that I couldn't even frame a response in the moment. I have never been treated with such indifference by a doctor. Surely he is busy with more important cases but I paid what I consider a very high amount out of pocket for his team's services and felt I received absolutely no value, and never felt I had the attention of the doctor. I gave Dr. Gholami months to contact me to work this out, but he was not interested.

What an amazing doctor! I would highly recommend him! He told me Verapil Transdermal did NOT work and was like Vitamin E (IN PERSON but said otherwise on the email... that Xiaflex just worked better.) and wanted to inject me with Xiaflex. His partner Dr. Wong told me any doctor who would try to do that would do it for a buck. He is not that type of doctor... come on.... he is just busy and confused. Very nice person. Also, not very accurate on his notes but what is the big deal! Trust him! Go to him! I mean people think that doctors and business would do anything to screw people just for money but that is NOT true! Also trust him blind... he does not like when you mentioned Google like other doctors and know that Mayo clinic is not well known as he is for Peyronie's Disease. Doctor Golami is a world know revolutionary researcher of Peyronie's, ethical and moral person from my understanding. 100% trust him and recommend him! Go! Spaces might be limited due to the shortage of physicians in the country!
The reason why I'm posting this negative review is that Dr Gholami and his out of office manager, Ruby cause me to believe that they were pushing treatment that was not necessary. I had doubts so I seeked second opinion and my suspicions were correct. Let me say this new and existing patients beware I wouldn't walk into the Samaratin Drive Office at all.
Reads the problem out of the form I filled out. Comes into the room with an assistant and explains what the treatment plan should be without even asking me what my symptoms are and why am there.
I’ve lost 2 family members from COVID-19 and for the doctor to walk into the waiting room without a mask on as well as a staff member, I was shocked and concerned, and to make things worse while attempting to schedule my operation procedure I was told rudely by the scheduler, “to get to the back of the line.”
A few issues:1. The office will try to perform a few unnecessary procedures before you even see the doctor, regardless of your conditions, so they can bill you more and at a higher than usual rate.2. On my first visit, my appointment was at 3pm, I got to see the doctor at around 3:34pm, and after only about 15 minutes, he was done. I had more questions, but he brushed them aside, saying, "we will see you on the next visit".3. On my 2nd visit, my appointment was at 4pm. Saw the doc at 4:52pm; he was done in 4 minutes and said book another appointment in 4 weeks. I had more questions, but he just opened the door and showed me the exit.4. I was very polite and patience throughout; I just had many questions but never got a chance to ask.The office team and the doctor doesn't care about the patient's problem. But yet, they are happy to send you an outlandish bill after each visit. Each bill was for an hour of consultation - is 4 minutes equivalent to an hour? The other comments here at Yelp about the doctor not caring are true to the core.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
