Sunrise Aba San Jose Center's Online Review Report Card

I was an RBT for sunrise for about a year… and the entire staff (clinical directors, state directors, HR) are all corrupt and don’t have the knowledge to take on such positions. ESPECIALLY Morgan Palm. A certified, grad A, liar!!!! Do not support this company or trust your children with them. I had a prior client go weeks without hearing from them after i left. Sunrise has no value of their rbts and constantly lie to our faces and refuse to change company policies.

El peor lugar para dejar a tus hijos! Donde te obligan a tener un terapista que no sabes si es hombre o mujer! ABA(terapia del comportamiento) donde confunden a los niños sobre el sexo de las personas! Con mala presentacion,,, Que no esta capacitado para cuidar de tu hija, no sabe canbiar pañales eh incluso no sabe ponerle los zapatos! Poco profesionales! Llegas por tu hijo y ni buenos dias o buenas tardes, solamente firma aqui y ya... te cancelan las citas y tienen muy mala comunicacion!!!!

Sunrise has an employee by the name of Katie Knight. Ms. Knight finds it acceptable to mock the death of a man of God. A man whom was a husband and a father.

Sunrise ABA does not support their behavior technicians. 1. They do not pay their technicians for time spent dealing with all the extra clerical work that happens between sessions (e.g. tablet not working, coordination, scheduling, logistics, etc.). I estimate my stepdaughter has spent over 40-50 unpaid hours dealing with extra work stuff after sessions. This is likely in violation of labor laws and should be investigated. 2. They expect their technicians go into people's homes while family members are known to be ill. Technicians do not get hazard pay for this, and this puts technician's family members health and safety at risk too. They have established a punitive and prohibitive atmosphere around taking time-off from work for illness, which is unfair considering they require technicians be inside people's homes on a daily basis. 3. The company imposes unreasonable burden on the technicians to find coverage for themselves if needing to take personal time-off, while 99% of companies take on this burden of covering for their employees. Considering this company pays technicians little more than working at In-n-Out Burger, the risks are not worth it.

I'm a behavior technician Sunrise ABA. I provide in-home services only. I'm considered part of the San Jose team and I have the same leadership as the San Jose clinic. The company provides ethical treatment. They truly understand neurodivergent kids and strive to improve their quality of life. However, my training and supervision are inadequate. I had no practical training before I started working with clients. I have never had in-person supervision, and I believe at least some in-person supervision is necessary for quality care. The company is often disorganized. Overall, they care deeply about your family but provide mediocre in-home care.​​​ I do not know what care in the clinic is like. I hope you find my review useful and that your kid can get the quality care they deserve.

We have a 4 year old son who currently attends Sunrise in Portland, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel at home. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to providing the best care possible for each child. A standout for us has been our Board Certified Behavior Analyst or BCBA, Amanda Brachfeld. Her expertise and compassionate approach have made a significant difference in our child's progress. Amanda takes the time to understand each child's unique needs and tailors her strategies accordingly. Her patience and creativity in implementing engaging therapies have truly made learning fun for our son. She has truly gone above and beyond for us and he is thriving because of it! The center itself is well-equipped, with a variety of resources to support different learning styles. The collaborative environment encourages open communication between parents and staff, ensuring everyone is on the same page regarding our child's development. They make sure all RBT therapists have the tools and training to be successful. We have been working with Nathan and India and they are absolutely amazing! We feel so blessed to have them. Overall, our experience at Sunrise has been nothing short of exceptional. If you're looking for a supportive and effective ABA center, I wholeheartedly recommend this one!
