Had to get a root canal. Finally I can chew without pain. Thank you!

My 13 year old daughter needed an urgent root canal. Vandan Kasar, DDS and her staff were extremely professional and worked well with us. My daughter was very nervous and scared about the procedure. My daughter said Vandan Kasar, DDS “was very gentle and kind” and “explained everything she was going to do to her before she did it”. I highly recommend this office.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Truly an amazing experience! I had to get a root canal and Zuri helped me make the appointment. I was running SUPER LATE to the appointment and it was completely my fault. To my surprise, they were able to fit me in and still complete my root canal that day. I was so grateful for their kindness and their ability to make it work. I did not expect they would be able to see me so this was an awesome surprise! Not to mention how wonderful Dr Kasar and her assistant was (i wish i could remember her name!!!). I felt so welcome and at peace with the whole procedure, I could’ve fallen asleep! Each step was explained to me throughout the process but I felt none of it! If I ever need a root canal again, (hopefully not) I will DEFINITELY be back to this office!! Thank you to their whole team for being so helpful and kind!!

Dr Kasar was so patient with me. She encouraged me to use the dental dam during my root canal which I was extremely anxious to do. She walked me through each step, answering every question I had regarding how to breathe, what to do with my tongue and letting me that the poles that kept the dam open would be placed outside my mouth not inside. It turned out to be more comfortable that I expected, but I never would have done it if she had not been so patient with me. The office personal were friendly, and knowledgeable as well. It turned out to be a much more positive experience than I expected. So far there have been no complications following my procedure.

My experience with them is a little dissatisfied. They tend to charge you for services that you explicitly refuse to take. I went for a root canal, they asked me if I wanted a CT Scan and also informed me that it wasn't covered in my insurance. I specifically told them 'I do not want to get a CT scan'. They agreed at that point and said the doctor will speak to me before any additional services are done. After a while I was taken to get a CT scan done. I reminded them again that I did not want a CT scan, they assured me that I won't be charged unless I agree with the doctor that I needed a CT scan. The doctor met with me , dud the procedure for the day and there was no mention of the CT scan. Upon check out, they hand me a bill of $300 for a CT scan.

Staff was altogether professional and courteous to my needs and worries. Treatment went extremely well with no discomfort.

Review for Willow Glen Dental Specialist I was originally told my visit and X‑rays were covered. I was even told the bill would be around $350 because they were “giving me a discount.” They also had me take an extra X‑ray and specifically said it would be covered. Three months later, I received a $600 bill — and I was never even sent my scans. This experience has been extremely disappointing. The lack of transparency, the surprise charges, and the poor communication are not right. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office.
