List of Asta Center For Cosmetic & Laser Skin Care's Reviews
Went in during the summer for a laser pigment consultation. Suggested I come back during the winter to better protect my skin. Came back during the winter and scheduled my pigment correction. I was lucky and only needed one treatment. It has been 1 year and I am happy with the results. I can faintly see where the laser removed the pigment, but that is only when I am 6inces from the mirror washing my face.
Went through 2 laser removal sessions this far. Excited to see my end result. The doctor is sweet and very thorough with explaining the procedure and what to expect as well as pricing. I was a bit skeptical when first entering in this office but I am definitely pleased with her work. They offer numbing cream one hour before laser treatment.
I have been a patient @ Asta for 3 years and have been completely satisfied with the results. I previously used a laser clinic in El Cerrito with much less success, and for more money too. This review is only concerning my experience in removing age (brown) spots. When you get past 50 y.o., the sun becomes your skin's enemy. Skin laser pretty effective at removing age spots. FYI: The price at the time of this review has increased. I purchased a 3-session package for $850.00. Sure beats the $350/session individual price. Each session takes the spots away for about 6-9 months. I use SPF 58 sunscreen and the age spots still eventually return. Darn! Each session lasts about 15-20 minutes. Prior to the procedure you will apply a skin numbing cream. The procedure can be rather discomforting without it.....kinda like getting a little more aggressive than slight electrical shocks. The numbing cream does help. The laser procedure uses also a stream of icy-cold air at the laser burn site so it also helps in reducing the discomfort. Dark scabs appear within 24 hours, then they fall away after a week. I won't kid you, you'll look like you were in a fight (and you were the loser) 1-3 days after the procedure. When the scabs do fall away, your skin is magically free of those imperfections. WooHoo! The clinic office is on the 2nd floor in a creepy building. I won't kid you. The office looks worn and dated too...something like a dentist's office from the 80's. The staff's communication methods might be a bit unprofessional and informal. Get over it. Only results matter. The Doctor is warm, has good beside manners, and is very experienced. I can't remember her name. She's very good at what she does. That's all that matters, doesn't it? I have recommended Asta to a co-worker, and they were also pleased with their results. Probably 90% of the patients in here are Asian. She is too, as is her staff. I am fine with all of that since I am used to having to connect and communicate with other businesses in Oakland Chinatown.
At first, I was a little skeptical about this clinic because there aren't many reviews on Yelp. This place was recommended by a friend of mine for laser permanent hair removal service so I got 10% off through referral. So far, I'm seeing good results and I still have 2 more sessions to go. Pro: -One year of free touch ups -Friendly customer service -Good price -Quality doctor -Parking lot provided -Flexible scheduling -Safe, clean and quiet office Con: -the building is just a little creepy so I never took the elevator ^_^
La atención es muy buena y excelente servicio
Quiet office in San Leandro. Very professional and friendly. Great prices for tattoo removal.
I called to make an appt...she answered the phone with hello....um, is this a business? When I realized I wouldn't make it, I called twice to cancel and they never answered. I called again today to make another appt and some man answers "hello"... I ask again if this is a business... He vaguely responds yes and never transitioned into professional mode. I tried to make another appt, but he was so strange, I felt like it was some back alley abortion clinic. I told him it wasn't very professional and I'd go somewhere else. Moral of the story....you never get a second chance to make a first impression.
I've now had 7 tattoo removal sessions at Asta, and I am very satisfied with the service. Tattoo removal is a lengthy process, but Asta is getting me through it.
I got a great groupon deal 3 treatments for $100. then I bought it again, even though its not advertized on groupon anymore they gave me the same deal. I am going today for my 4th treatment. Yeah not the greatest building but its fine. The office staff is very nice. After today I have 2 more treatments. Even though this hurts like no other. I am seeing results. thanks
I just bought a groupon here for laser tattoo removal! 7sq inches for $199. So far this is one of the best tattoo removal deals I have seen on groupon so I had to swoop on it! They are supposed to us the Accolade laser and that is one of the best lasers out there for removal. I will update after my first treatment

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
