List of Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area's Reviews
Not helpful at all.
Hospital is HORRIBLE. They were very rude and disrespectful to the travelers who came to help them.
I experienced nothing but respect, congeniality and helpfulness from the nurses, cnas and supervisors. Therapy was extraordinary, they got a good team down there, good equipment. Rt is good, they suctioned quite often and my nebulizer treatment was on time.
I had a great experience overall
Mrs. Kelly Robert is sure a blessing into my life and that of my family, with minimum investment of $600, be rest assured to make your withdrawal of $7,200. Most of the staff are wonderful, some are complacent. Respiratory and physical therapy were excellent.
Without a doubt the worst experience of my life. I was transferred here (which was only option w/my Medicare plan) from an acute care hospital: I’d had pneumonia, and a tracheotomy. Here you are, supposed to be healing from a life-threatening illness, only to be laying in your own filth, waiting sometimes more than an hour for assistance w/bedpan (I had sores from them), waiting for up to 3 hours for rx (night shift pretty spotty), nurses that were verbally abusive and even threatening, a case manager didn’t figure out my insurance until day I was discharged 🤦♀️, etc. I wasn’t able to speak and was kinda out of it the 1st week, but I SURE remember not being treated as a human being, a person. There WERE some great people! But kindred obviously understaffed; I could never ever EVER recommend this facility.
Do not under any circumstances send your loved ones here, they will be neglected and the nurses don't do anything. All this places is, is a money grab. I came here to visit my grandfather, they straight up DON'T take care of people here all the other reviews I've read on the neglect are true.He sat in his own waste for over an hour while I was visiting and each time a nurse came into the room to check his vitals I asked for them to clean him up and they wouldn't claiming someone else would later. This went on for an hour. 3 different people came and no one would get someone to clean his waste off of him. This went on until visiting hours ended and they asked me to leave but I refused until they cleaned him up and stayed for another 30mins after visiting hours to make sure that he was taken care of and they STILL wouldn't. The other issue us that he has a breathing tube in his throat and has stitches. He's been there for three days and they still have not changed or cleaned them. They are covered in dried up blood and sweat "because they need a doctors approval change and clean it."We are trying to get him out of here now because this is ridiculous.
If I do have other options I really don't want to have my family member there @ Kindred Hospital at all. Some RN aND LVN are good but some are super neglected the patient. My family member admitted there for one week already, I am not even able to speak to the doctor on duty or meet he/she in person except on on 4/7/22. When I was in the room with my family and doctor finally stop by and said "hi, introduce herself." Then I tried to catch her name and she repeatedly herself and I start the conversation and want to know about my family condition. Doctor just cut me off and end my conversation with " i have to go now , i have a new admission. " then she just walked around the room and don't even give a sh***. Second experience that I had couple days ago, when the nurse are doing their shift change, and passing the progress note of the patient between nurse (S***h) to nurse (A***n). I was in the room with my family, they start talking to each other in front of me using their first language. I don't know what are they talking about but one of the nurses (A***n) start lift up the gown and start looking at gentiourinary.l. But before the shift change I asked the nurse (S***h) any change in conditions of my family. Nurse said " no" still the same then why she is report that to other while shift change to other nurse. I was there watching the whold thing going on. Neither of them would tell me anything. Third experience - the condom catch was not attached to the gentiourinary, therefore it created the wet to the patient. The LVN nurse told me he woud clean my family after he finish passing his med.to other patient and he will ask his partner to come and help him. Hopefully he still remember after his med passing round. Please treat each patient like they are your family. If your family memeber stay there you would want the best for them so they can heal fast and go home. I want to shout out to some nurse ( Niki, Lilibeth and other nurses ) who provided the excellent cared to my family. I can't thank enough to those nurses.
After being in a induced coma for a month due to Covid Pneumonia, I was transferred to this facility for recovery. I was unable to speak due to having a trach. Also unable to move at all. I was confused, frustrated, and lost. It was until the guys from Physical therapy (Alan and Daniel) came by to assure me that they'll be there every step of the way to help me get back on my feet. It was until then that I got hope. Alan and Daniel were motivating, helpful, friendly, and really helped me start walking again no matter how difficult it was for me. Nikil the rehab tech also was nice, friendly, and professional. He was the guy that moved you from your bed to wheelchair, then to the gym. Each transfer was smooth and he made sure I had everything i needed before and after physical therapy. The rest of the crew of PT/OT/REHAB dept are all nice and friendly professionals. I've worked with Veronica, Allison, and Anna. I have nothing but good things to say about them and their whole department. The respiratory team, speech therapy, xray, were all good people as well. I wish I could say the same for the nursing team, but a few bad apples make the rest that actually do their jobs look bad. All I can say is if you're going to be a patient here, pls have a loved one or someone visit you to make sure you're being treated right. The issue I had was my call light not being answered for an over an hour which is very frustrating. If you don't speak up about issues you're having, nothing will happen. And when you cant actually speak, it's even more frustrating. So having someone to speak for you is the only way to get attention. S/o to these amazing people for doing their job and not half assing it. There's atleast 8 more but I forgot their names. (Sorry) Dr Nakagawa Ferdie (CNA) Scott (RT) Randy (Supervisor) Cheyenne (Customer service) Grendell (RN) Collin (RT) Wyatt (RT) Tequila (CNA) Parmjit (CNA) Dominic (RN) Luda (RN) I appreciate all the staff that really does their job. You guys are putting your lives at risk each day working with ill/sick people. You guys are doing God's work. Can't thank yall enough.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
