Psy Spa Usa's Online Review Report Card

I’ve been going to korean spa in Palo Alto for ages. Today decided to try Psy spa and save time on crossing the bridge. I booked scrab treatment online, half price was charged on card during booking. During checkin I saw that they charge 4% fee on card payments. No info about that on their website. Front desk lady called the owner and I explained that it is not a small amount of money, so they cannot apply fees on card payments. If I pay her cash, I won’t have enough cash to leave the tips for service. She offered to send zelle to her. After arguing with me for 10 min she finally agreed to take my card and don’t charge fees. I was given a basket with robe and towels. I did not know that I suppose to bring slippers. This spa is outdated and needs a complete remodel. It wasn’t clean. Plastic shelves had crumbles on them, hair was visible on shower stocks, ants were freely running on the walls. Also this spa doesn’t use particular brand of bath products. Refillable bottles with ‘who knows what in them’. For scrub the lady was using a brick soap with scrubbing gloves. Also seeing women scrubbers in transparent underwear was odd to me. Ladies, who perform treatments in spa that I usually go to, wear t-shirt and shorts. It was my first and LAST time visiting this place.

The person at the reception was so nice and too kind. She greeted me upon my entry and explained everything. I opted for body scrub and Jason was just too good. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Surely I will go back.

It's been SO damn long since I've visited a Korean spa. I usually go to Pearl Spa in SF but I received a gift certificate here and finally made the visit! We came on a Saturday afternoon and I was wondering where are all the people?! It felt like I had the whole facility to myself which was insane on a weekend. Everything is so clean and all the workers are friendly. Helen did a PHENOMENAL job for my body scrub and massage. I love the style of massage they offer here because the pressure is hard. I LOVE PAIN. I thought she was massaging me with hot stones but this tiny woman is so strong it was just her elbows! She also noticed that one of my earrings fell out during my massage, and I was honestly so relaxed I didn't care but she made sure she found it! I'm so glad she did because it was an earring I had since childhood and I would've been really sad for it to be missing after my spa high, lol. I tipped her PHAT. I will definitely be back.

A good place for a good body scrub (men & women).

My experience here was great and impressive as it was my first time at a Korean day spa. I came for my birthday seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. Upon entering, you are given towels / locker info & proceed to the locker / dressing room. You have options of dry sauna, steamed, meditation rooms, jacuzzi, Himalayan salt, Jade, etc. It's not the most spacious but it gets the job done. I could imagine an ideal time to go would be earlier in the day or mid-day. They are open pretty late until 10, you can do walk ins to use their amenities but each service like massage or facial requires appointment. I paid a deposit before hand and you cannot cancel within 48 hours. The spa is nothing extravagant as they don't have a restaurant but I love it since it's in the East Bay, no need to go far like in the city or SJ. I received the Aroma #2 package which included: time using the amenities, deep body scrub, massage, facial, and shampoo/conditioning treatment. These left my body & skin feeling refreshed! My hair felt silky straight afterwards. I might make this my new annual ritual for self care. PS if you don't like nudity be prepared lol

My go to when I’m in the bay clean amazing service reminds me of Moroccan hamam

If you want a little taste, a little sippy sip, of a Korean sauna experience, Psy Spa, may just scratch your itch. My shower at home has been LACKING in pressure and I was in need of a really good shower and steam experience. (I WISH I could install the showers there in my home!!!) I also booked a body scrub. I was so happy this service included access to the facilities! Sophia~~ you’re a gem! Thank you! My skin is so soft! My only wish was that I could tip with my card/phone. I wonder if they can add Zelle information or Venmo because I’m cashless most of the time! There is an ATM machine available, but I only had my phone. Having been to Korean Saunas in Korea I know this is not the same. HOWEVER, I love this place regardless because it is conveniently located and the service is great. I’m also satisfied by the cleanliness of the facilities. Also, the coed spaces are chill and relaxing as well! Tip: bring your own indoor flipflops/slippers for walking around, but there are some to borrow if you want

Amazing Spa!! Hidden Gem! After our flight we had early morning full body scrubs and then used the other facilities. So many options for such an accessible price! Amazing rock dry saunas and staff!

Unfortunately, very mediocre experience overall. Facilities are lacking. In the bath area there is a dry sauna, steam room, a hot tub and a cold tub. Cleanliness is questionable. They didn’t provide slippers or asked if I wanted any when I checked in, but other people were wearing their own that they brought, which who knows how clean the bottoms of those are. usually these spas are very strict about either not wearing shoes or wearing the shoes that they provide to ensure cleanliness. After I came home, I immediately applied salicylic acid on my feet to disinfect them. I did a 90 minute scrub and massage combo which was 30 minutes scrub and 60 minute massage, but the 30 minute scrub was too long. She scrubbed all of my limbs fully at least 4 times. When I was on my back, she scrubbed everywhere except my back and when I was on my front she scrubbed everywhere again except my front, you get the point. it felt like she was just trying to fill the 30 minute time, but it was completely unnecessary and got kind of painful at the end. She also attempted to put a warm, wet towel over my private area while she’s scrubbed me, which maybe was to give me a sense of privacy but omg who else has she used that on?! Talk about a breeding ground for bacteria. I immediately took it off (also applied salicylic acid there as well when I came home). I’ve been to other Korean and Chinese spa and they’ve never done that before. The massage was also not good. The table is flat so there’s no face hole, so they had a raised face pillow which was so uncomfortable that I didn’t end up using it. There was very little actual massaging. It was mostly rolling your body with her elbow and digging her elbow into your back. Because of the pillow issue, my neck was constantly strained, and it was not comfortable or relaxing. I would not recommend this place.

The treatments are wonderful, it's clean, very nice energy the massage and the scrub are transformative. I love this place.
