List of Shwetha M. Anand's Reviews
It is very rare that I am compelled to write a review, let alone a bad one. But Dr. Anand was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful and defensive in my call with her yesterday. I haven't been able to get an appt for 5 months... they canceled once and otherwise were very booked, so i was extremely prepared for this appt. She called me from a private number 20 min before my scheduled appt but I missed the call getting ready for work and for the phone call, no voice-mail, no number to call back, no message in mychart. I sit waiting for the scheduled call and she doesn't call me for 2 hours. I'm in work (caregiving for folks w cerebral palsy) I get the call, have to step out of my work, and she gets very defensive when I say that I don't appreciate the late call and lack of notice. She never apologizes or explains why, just gets into the most rude and upset state, tells me that I should have come to the office, she only "does calls on mondyas and fridays" (it was a wednesday). I explain that the scheduling people never told me that would be better in the many months I was trying to get an appt. I explain that I have type 1 insulin dependent diabetes so it's just really important that I have this appt and can get my life saving meds on time and in the proper dosages, that's why I'm feeling urgency around the call and needing to have the appt. She is not able to understand or treat my nicely, eventhough she was 2 hours late. As we are talking about my medication refills and new prescription needs she tries to challenge me on every single prescription. I have met many doctors I respect and respect me and explain things well and slowly and really try to work with me to get this medication. Truly life w chronic illness is super stressful and Dr anand is not understanding. Unfortunately she ended up hanging up the phone in the middle of our conversation!!! I asked to have more pen needles than I was currently prescribed so I don't run out, she said if I'm snacking and taking more than 6 insulin shots a day that I am non-compliant with her recommendations and she hung up.
I don’t understand how this doctor is still in practice she’s incompetent, doesn’t know what’s she’s talking about. Doesn’t want to see patients in person and prefers appointment be over the phone.
Not satisfied with the quality care of this doctor.
Stay away from this doctor, careless of patients needs and does not listen to patients symptoms.
Appointment are rushed, doesn’t listen to patients.
Dr Anand is an amazing Doctor. I'm glad my family physician referred me to her. My diabetes is controlled.
Another endo working for big pharma? She does not believe in thyroid medication that isn't. Nope, you can't have Armour Thyroid or Levoxyl (less additives than Synthroid)... As T-3 (energy) you can have Cytomel (chemical). Armour covers both and is desiccated pig thyroid... although sometimes you need a little more T-4 (Levoxyl). Gave her 2 stars because she was nice enough to prescribe my used prescriptions for 90 days until I could find a good doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
