List of Christopher Byrne's Reviews
A friend had recommended Dr. Byrne, but I would not recommend him at all. I don't believe I was getting expert care and I stopped seeing him after several visits and injections.
On 8/26/21 I had an appointment scheduled but when I got there, I was told that Dr. Byrne was on vacation, and I didn’t have an appointment on the books. When I showed her the little card with my appointment scheduled, she said “Oh Sorry!” That should have been my cue to not go back but I decided I would give them another try. On 5/17/22 I arrived for my 2:20 appointment at 2:10 and was checked in. I waited in the waiting room for 50 minutes. I had to ask the front associate why I was still waiting, and she proceeded to tell me she had to go check. When they finally called me back at 2:48 I was left in the room for 30 minutes. I ended up leaving without seeing the Dr. because they had no idea I was even there. I dislike the fact that Doctors have no idea or can care less how valuable their patient's time really is when we must take time off work to see them. Very disappointed! I will never recommend this Dr. and will continue to share with others how incompetent they are.
I am suffering from bone spurs, recovery from a broken ankle, in addition to a torn ligament that's attached to my outer ankle. Due to the above the right ankle has moderate to edema.
My wife was just in the office for a follow up appointment. I wanted to go in with her so that two of us could hear the directions from the Dr. But we were told that they are following strict Covid restrictions. I said ok. But then my wife was told that not all of his staff have been vaccinated. This was not only very surprising it is inexcusable. If they really cared about fighting Covid ALL staff would be required to be vaccinated. My expectations when coming into a medical office is that all are vaccinated. Their policies are hypocritical.
Wow, what a wonderful local doctor. Personable, explains conditions extremely well with excellent bed side manor and clean office. Outstanding support staff also both educators technicians and admin. I also discover that what I thought due to multiple diagnoses and treatments by West Dermatology were completely wrong, no toenail fungus issues I had been treating for years with dermatologist but a structural issues with bone and tendons under the nail bed. Lessen learned, make sure you have actually selected the right specialist for the problem you are having.I can attest that I whole heartedly recommend Dr Byrne.
Its been over a year since my brevis tendon repair. My foot was numb in the area of surgery for quite some time. Slowly I regain feeling of my toes. I have no discomfort in my ankle and I'm please with the results. Dr Byrne answered all my questions and was very patient and easy to understand.
Clean office. Wonderful staff. So helpful and friendly. New location in SLO. Go up the hill in the parking lot. Parking is a challenge. Will be glad when the Templeton office will reopen!
Dr Byrne is an excellent podiatrist and surgeon who has treated and operated on both my husband and myself following injuries. He listens, takes time to answer questions, reassure and explain both the problem and solution. His staff is also excellent. My only hesitation in giving 5 stars is that there can be a long wait at times, both because doctors try to fit in too many patients and because of the time he gives each patient in order to give them the best care and assurance. To us, the care we get is worth the wait.
Two stars for friendly support staff; That’s where it ends. Doctor didn’t look at MRI showing my broken foot and wanted me to go spend more money on an orthotic. He wouldn’t even address the second pain I scheduled the appointment for. Later I realized my paperwork said I only had a sprained foot. What a **** show.
Trustworthy and an excellent surgeon. No complications!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
