List of Joel Lardizabal's Reviews
Found him to be rude and condescending at a time when we needed him to be just the opposite.
I left his office in tears, horrible bed side maner, that out weighs any medical advise he could offer.
I found Dr. to be condescending, and appears to not have the time that I need from a Cardiologist. He was rude and short and did not listen.
Doctor seems competent. Office staff either untrained or have no pride of work. Getting prescriptions filled seems to be a difficult matter. Told several times over several it will sent in today but does not. Two separate occurrences 3 months apart. Beware of frustrations with his office staff.
This doctor is extremely hard to reach in the event of an emergency. He is unresponsive to patients and very sarcastic when he does respond. I would not recommend him to anyone looking for a cardiologist!!
Just horrible! The Doctor could careless or have an urgency besides his money and time off. The staff follows suit as well. The care is heartless and expensive. Don’t plan on getting any answers quick or keeping your appointments
Horrible service! Not only have I had to wait three weeks to get my results due to the Doctor being on vacation but now they are rescheduling me less than 24hrs for an additional three weeks. The office staff, has no compassion. These results and diagnosis have put my life already on hold. As I need them to be able to get my drivers license back and resume work or get on disability. It’s an out rage. Won’t even give me a callback. Let’s remember that this office does have a cancellation policy for patients but are refusing to adhere to it.
Staff was professional despite very busy office. Central Coast is a medical wasteland, so there are not many choices of providers here. You are better off going to a bigger city of you definitely have heart problems. Dr. Joel was efficient, but definitely not a people person. Seems like a mill, more about billing insurance as much as possible. Says few words, no eye contact. My impression is that there are paid reviews on this site, def not a 5 star practice.
Well, it was great to be told that my skipped (extra) heart beats are "within normal range" however, I wasn't there just to find out if I was going to have a heart attack in the near future, but to get more information on the issue that has continuously been plaguing me. I feel disenchanted from having to learn more about my condition from the internet than from the Doctor that I've been trying to get an appointment with for over 6 months.
I was in immediate need of cardio care, during the initial he was not forthcoming, did not explain anything AND when I asked a question he very rudely said " if you listened to what I said". I was listening, I was not getting an answer. The only other cardiologist in the area was booked out until December, this was September, otherwise I would have walked out immediately. On the follow up visit I was treated like a stupid person, I was told to sit down , when I said I prefer to stand he got mad and insisted I sit. I was told I did not have a liver disease because it was not in his papers, I have been seen for 3 years for my liver disease. He is literally a nasty man, I would recommend his license to practice be revoked. I have written to the medical board.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
