List of Larry Herron's Reviews
Never had to totally take off all my clothes for a doctor except for a pap smear. Very uncomfortable. Stated I needed to get a bypass, so unless I do, I can continue to laydown all day in excruciating pain with lack of quality of life. He is WAY ti old and needs to retire. WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY.
I was referred by another doctor. I was happy to hear I didn’t need surgery. I also appreciate a doctor that is willing to perform a complete ortho assessment. He’s plain spoken, a little rough around the edges but honest with a wealth of experience and knowledge.
I've seen him multiple times over the past ten years. Dr. Herron is straightforward and refreshing in demeanor. He will avoid small talk and get right to the point. His recommendations and treatments have always been conservative, which has allowed me to avoid spinal surgery for a long time. His depth of experience as a seasoned practitioner is impressive. I think he's the best in our area.
Great surgeon. The doctor to use for any orthopedic problems. Dr. Herron explains your prognosis and his medical plan in a language you can understand and answers all your questions and concerns.
I saw Dr. Herron after a 2013 car accident. The reviews online didn't look promising but I listened to someone I knew who had recommended him. I'm glad I did. He and Dr. Kissel were very professional! They are good at what they do because the take their work seriously! That's the kind of doctor I want to put my life in the hands of. Dr. Herron will not do surgery on you if you do not need it. If you do need it he is 100% on board! He took excellent care of me through the surgery and after. The whole process was less stressful with a well trained, expierinced confident doctor taking care of you and that is what Dr Herron is along with his office staff. My fusion was a success and couldn't be happier with the help he provided!
He explained my condition, ordered appropriate tests, and got back to me with the test results quickly. The office staff is outstanding, helpful and compassionate
I saw Dr. Herron for back problems. I was told to take Tyenol and not not to do any strenuous activities which would further aggravate my back. I was in and out in five minutes. I subsequently saw Dr. Abraham Rosul who spent 45 min. with me, ordered an MRI, and ultimately resolved my issue. I's highly recommend Dr. Rosul. Dr. Herron probably pocketed $200-plus for the appointment.
Dr Herron came highly recommended by several physicians that I trust and respect. I had extensive spinal surgery in April '19, along with a respected neurosurgeon. He is respectful, direct, knowledgeable, and speaks to our level. I fully understood what to expect and he was very insistent that I follow his orders with post op limitations, meds, activity, etc . Office staff is excellent. I would recommend Dr Herron...Follow his orders and you're recovery will benefit!!!
This Doctor doesn't seem to listen at all, seemed to miss me telling him I had a knee replacement and the 8 inch long scar on my leg and pushed it over the range of motion. At the end of the visit he actually suggested I try types of exercises which include squats, lunges and twists which are directly contraindicated by other neurologists who have actually helped my condition with nonsurgical treatments. He should stick to, "I can fix this with surgery or I can't fix this with surgery" and leave it at that. I had two questions for him: will surgery help, and is my condition worsening as far as what shows on this MRI compared to my last. He refused to even look at or compare them. I should have refused to even pay him for his useless consultation.
“Doctor” Herron made this first (and last) appointment a humiliating and frivolous experience. Upon his entry to the exam room, I was completely naked while changing into a gown. He would not close the door all the way to the public hallway to let me finish dressing. He then proceeded to tell me the pain medication I had been taking for one week would “turn me into an opioid addict.” The man is from another era and it’s time to hang up the toupee. Do not go here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
