Sadly…because of Dr. Caggiano’s front office staff - I am giving a 1 star rating. I arrived on time for my appointment, had confirmed & had my insurance in order - only to be told that I would have to reschedule. I was a returning patient, but was informed that I should have arrived 30 minutes early in order to to paperwork. No amount of logic or pleading could get them to see reason… & they showed no sympathy for the fact that I’m 85 hrs old, waited months for the appointment & drove 45 miles to their office !
I was recommended to see a specialist for my hurt and arm. Dr Caggiano was highly recommended and I was just hoping I could get the opportunity to see him soon. I am so grateful for the hard work the kindness and the help that Janet did for me getting me in so quickly working with my insurance and being so understanding with the pain I was in. Dr Caggiano figured out the tendonitis issue and the severity of it right away he administered a shot and said to be patient with the recovery. I would recommend him and his practice to someone needing a great orthopedist. I'm so appreciative.
Dr. Caggiano was patient, listened, explained my condition, answered my questions and told me my options. I would recommend him to anyone. The office was always courteous and helpful.
I am beyond pissed off with the service I received today. I came in for my appointment 15 minutes early like my paperwork instructed me to do so. Once I arrived I was told "oh I was going to call you, your appointment is canceled. We rescheduled you." I drove down to San Luis Obispo from Paso Robles for an 8:30 a.m. appointment, taking time off of work and spending money on gas only to be turned away at this time of my appointment because the receptionist, Samantha, failed to call me. If I have to give 24 hours advance notice or be charged a fee I should be able to do the same to the doctor's office. My appointment was with Dr Nicholas Caggiano. I don't know if the other doctors use the same receptionist or not. However I cannot recommend Dr Caggiano because his reception staff are absolutely awful at doing their job and I hope she's terminated. Now I have to go through the entire process over again because my insurance has changed and now I'll be charged a copay and have to apply
About 3 years ago, I waited 6 weeks to see a doctor in the group about a condition I had. He referred me to Dr. Caggiano. Took another 6 weeks to see him; by then the issue had reduced to a manageable size and pain level. Of course, Dr. Caggiano said he couldn’t/wouldn’t do anything at that time. So I decided to just live with it because by the time it got bad again I’d have to wait so long to see him it would resolve again. A few years later I had another issue and was referred to Dr. Caggiano by my primary care physician. I had an x-ray showing the issue and it was going to be two weeks to see him. I was told I could see him quicker if I would go to urgent care and get referred, which I found odd because I had the x-ray. I was told they would call me back right away to get me in sooner two separate times and was never called. Due to circumstances beyond my control I ended up canceling the appointment, but I will not try to see this particular doctor again.
Great caring skilled.
Can’t really recommend this particular doctor. While I did manage to get an appointment (6 week wait) the first time, he didn’t end up doing anything about the condition. The second time I wasn’t called back after 2 tries.
Dupuytren's procedure the doctor does is magic highly recommend Dr. Caggiano.
I’ve had a cyst on my wrist for 10 years now, every time I go see a doctor they tell me it’ll go away in a couple of years. Caggiano is one of these doctors who clearly doesn’t care about the pain I’m in at all. I was scheduled for a pre-op appointment and I was told that I have to wait until it’s inflamed again in order to get surgery. I live a very active lifestyle and can not afford to wait. The cyst is clearly hitting a nerve (I’m not a doctor and I know that) and is EXCRUCIATING and it is clear-as-day protruding like a tumor from my wrist and he’s going to sit there and tell me it would be hard to see when they cut me open??? Huh??? Its a giant fluid filled sac that doesn’t belong on my wrist... It’s affecting my quality of life. So why did they turn me away with no options or reassurance? I feel like I’ll have this thing forever and nobody is going to take is seriously.
Dr. Caggiano is an amazing surgeon!! He reattached the tendons on the back of my thumb about 10 months ago. The thumb is as strong as ever and range of motion is excellent considering the damage that was done. I would highly recommend Dr. Caggiano to anyone who needs a hand surgery! Thanks soo much for what you did for me!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
