I love Dr. Macias! He always takes the time to talk to my kids, asks them how they are doing, what hobbies they have and he also addresses all of my questions and spends quality time with us. He is very busy, so I usually only see him once a year for the well-child exams, but I think he is great! When we need to be seen immediately, the other doctors and nurses do a great job to help my family get the care they need! I highly recommend Central Coast Pediatrics, which is why I drive over 45 minutes from my house to have my children seen there.

We think very highly of Dr. Rich. He's been wonderful with all our children over the last 14 years. (Gotta admit I don't like the office policy initiated in the last few years of having a scribe with him at all times. It just took away some of the atmosphere and ability to talk comfortably.) But he's a caring, knowledgeable, practical physician who has been very kind and dedicated over the years. When our daughter ended up unexpectedly in the hospital, he was there to visit the next morning before his workday started. We were really touched. His nurse Nancy in the Templeton office has also been a wonderful.

Worst Dr ever. Will over prescribe antibiotics and never do anything to help your child. Yelled, "I'm a doctor! I don't have time for that!" when I requested help for my premature baby. Many other good pediatricians or NP.

There are few people in this world who will actually make you feel like they care SO much about your kids. Dr. Macias is a blessing to San Luis Obispo. He even saw my kids in the hospital when they were born- which not many pediatricians do. Great doctor and great staff at CCP!

This man is wonderful. I'm one of "those" nervous nelly moms. He's never once made me think that my questions were silly, etc. He's patient and kind. He'll take the time needed to explain whatever is needed to calm me down. If you call the office with a medical question they are good at getting back to you with their guidance and kindness. The reason for the 4 star is that I've had many appointments with another doctor due to Macias vacation schedule, it just seems to be a lot, but the man definitely deserves to take a break!

I would give him a good review if his staff would ever let us in to see him. It's been over a year since my son (who has serious medical issues) and we've waited patiently for his appointment. Macias called in sick today, so they offered to reschedule our appointment in August. Lots of other issues with the women in this office. Shows how much the staff cares about my son's life, which is obviously nothing.
