Dr. Doria had been following my condition of Aortic Stenosis for a couple of years and we talked about doing the TAVR procedure. The time came and during my tests in French Hospital, it was discovered that I had a severe blockage in my heart and 5 blocked arteries. TAVR was not an option. Dr. Doria referred me to a team of Cardiothoracic surgeons in the hospital and we agreed on a bypass and valve replacement. Dr. Doria still is my cardiologist managing my care and recovery and I am grateful for this. I feel he understands me and my condition and explains in enough detail and listens to me and my concerns. I see a long relationship with Dr. Doria and would recommend him and his staff for any heart issues. He is busy but in a good way, you want a cardiologist that sees lots of patients and has lots of experience. I have no trouble making appointments and using the portal for communication, they get back to me within a day and if urgent I can call.

Dr Doria is personable and very attentive to details, more than willing to take the time to answer all my questions and provide me with excellent care. I had my Aortic valve replaced and I believe he went above and beyond to make sure I got the right valve( severe nickle allergy) with the right sutures, even though those items were new to French Hospital.

I experienced a full cardiac arrest about 10 years ago. Dr. Doria placed a stent in me which has worked for me until recently. He is an excellent physician with good verbal skills. On a scale of 1-10, I rate him 10+.

Had 5 way heart bypass surgery as far as I know it was a good surgical team ! He is probably a good Doctor but Trying to get to ask him a question a few years later I was Treated absolutely Terrible ! I only wanted him to give me an opinion and write a letter to the VA ! It is IMPOSSIBLE his staff said I would have to become a patient again to talk to him! I lost my Insurance because of the surgery and it makes me wonder if I needed the Surgery At All or If They Said Hey he has Great Insurance instead of a Stent Lets Open Him Up ? Office Staff is Condesending and i was treated as an annoyance. I am Alive so I thank him But It seems they might be more concerned about money.

Reschedules often and is always at least 1-2 hours late. Find someone who has time for you as a patient, and you aren’t just a number.

Dr. Doria has been my Cardiologist for over 2 years and he has gone above and beyond in helping me get the medical attention I need. I am on several medications but for my health and heart condition I need them all and this has been verified by other cardiologists and specialists . He is extremely busy but I have never had a problem in getting my questions answered. You just have to speak up and he will answer and address your concerns. There are not enough Doctors in our area and the demands on them are ridiculous.
