This review is regarding the Nurse Practicioner at this clinic, in SLO! Never have I ever seen any type of doctor as this one. Nurse practitioner. Not Dr. Goodman. I have been in the medical profession since the age of 19. 60 now. Nope! So sorry that she did not know why I was there, I'm sorry that she said to me "so, what do you want?" I am so embarrassed that I allowed myself to go threw this. But worst of all, I have no control as to what she charged my insurances, she did not palpate my stomach, she did not listen toMy heart. She did NOTHING. the medical assistant took my blood pressure. Which was probably out of this world as I waited, patiently, for one hour.
My husband and I set up an appointment with Dr. Goodman for an annual check-up. We had to wait 7 mths for the appt.and during my appt. day, I had to wait for 3-4 hrs to see him. He seemed to be caring asking about my concerns and my husband’s concerns. Little that we knew that he used those concerns to bill our insurance company for an outpatient visit (supposed to be a preventative care). We tried reaching out to the billing department several times but they argued that the note said an outpatient visit due to X concern for me and Y concern for my husband. I told them I would have died if I had to wait for 7 months for the appointment and 4 hours during the day of the appointment if my X concern was really life threatening that required an outpatient visit. I would have gone to the ER if I really had that serious problem. We also reached out to Dr. Goodman but no response. He never followed up about our blood tests nor our health. WORST doctor ever! He only wants your money.
I have seen several Rheum due to RA. This was the best MD I have seen and the best office!
Goodman is a knowledgable Doctor. But I have found him cold, unfriendly, and I have disagreed with him on several times. He is not a good listener.
Has ben great to work with! He is very knowledgeable.
Does not give the care to his patients he needs to provide. I know his patients are in pain everyday but he does not proactively give any advice and makes his patients wait 2 months in pain. Not the best type of care you want to hear for someone who cannot sleep at all due to all the pain. If you want the best care for your family, avoid Dr. Goodman.
If it takes 6 months to get an appointment it is not a medical service.
3 visits $750. 1 issue identified, 2nd still not. 2nd visit was basically them reading me the lab results, didn't even check 2nd issue. 3rd visit, they performed basic check on second issue, want to check my neck of all places. not impressed, no confidence, not going back. Went to another doctor(Chandler), 1 visit, referred, found issue (this is how it is supposed to be done).
Been seeing Dr. Goodman For Quiet awhile. A doctor that will take time to listen as opposed to rushing you through like cattle. the wait is worth it had a condition that some other Doctorts never really explained. Dr. Goodman Actually explanned it but referred me to a clinic for treatment that was fantastic. Much Respect
Horrible bedside manner. Rash diagnosis that proved to be wrong. Talks about himself more than my condition. Wasn’t allowed to write down answers as he presented his diagnosis. Was told to pay attention but only provided information he felt was relevant and would not address my other concerns. Go elsewhere

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
