Karl F. Von Tiehl's Online Review Report Card

I've been a very happy patient of Dr. Von Tiehl and his staff for the last five years. He and his team provides personalized, thoughtful, and professional care. I am always in and out as expected and never have had surprises of any kind. Dr. Von Tiehl is patient and explains things very simply. I trust his judgement and have always felt he has had my best interests at heart.

This place has a insane policy of asking to share full credit/debit card details on one of the forms. It didn't feel right to share full credit card details and giving them the authority to charge as they please. So, be aware! I refused their services. There are other providers, who doesn't have insane policies like that!

Through word and deed, this man proves that he will do only the minimal required to provide patient care. He has an absurdly inappropriate bedside manner and is entirely focused on making a buck. He has disdain for his patients and his profession and this shines through in his every action. There are many other choices. Avoid!

I always hesitate to go to doctors in the u.s because the experience hasnt been great. Not today. I surely enjoyed my experience today. Dr. Von Tiehl is super nice and caring. He asks all the necessary questions. This will definitely be a clinic I recommend to friends and family. The booking appt is also very quick and easy. The others had to wait 2weeks to a month. I called in the morning before 9am and was able to get an appointment in. Thank you Dr. Von Tiehl and the nice staff members at the front desk.

Everyone here was very nice. If you are paying out of pocket, ask them for detailed costs of each item you are receiving. I did not do this and my visit cost me over $400. I received a scratch test with 20 possible allergens and found the possible culprit to my ailments. Overall, I received great care. I just would have hoped someone would have broken down all the costs before actually just going through with it. I was never presented with a breakdown but it's also my fault because I never asked during my visit. I just didn't think the cost would be so high :(

I researched allergists pretty extensively. No one received as great overall reviews as Dr. von Tielhl and I can assure you they were correct. His staff is equally as professional and helpful as the doctor himself. His standards are high and he delivers. No voodoo here just hard science and a smile.

First, Dr Von Tiehl treated our kid pre-COVID. It took a while, but thanks to his advice, we were able to eliminate foods which caused her serious acid reflux. She really liked his bedside manner and he asked how she was doing when he came in the room, a couple years later. Nice.I visited myself today because my allergy medication seems to be losing its effectiveness. The entire experience went very well, from making an appointment to the prompt visit: the office staff is great, friendly, and competent. The office itself is nice, clean, has ample free parking, and is well-located. Their COVID precautions were good, too. In fact, my follow up in a couple weeks will be by telehealth and I appreciate that.Now to the crux: Dr Von Tiehl is amazing with patients. He is by far one of the most thorough and engaging specialists I've ever had, and I've had a lot of experience with specialists! He answered every question thoughtfully. The little pin prick tests were easy. He came back with results and with plans A, B, and C within 20 minutes. He also gave tips on where to get the cheapest meds which is invaluable. Take that, big pharma! The Bowtie Doctor offers a rare five star medical experience. And yes, the doc really wears a bow tie!

COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!!! My son needed to see an allergist and his pediatrician recommended this place. As I am filling out paperwork I come across a form that asks for me to write down my debit card information. I have NEVER had to do that before and I didn't feel comfortable writing that information down for them to keep on file. The receptionist said it's in case I "try to skip town without paying". I offered to pay up front and she said my son could not be seen without writing down my debit card information. On top of it being risky to put all my information out there like that, I think it's a little insulting to say "incase I skip town and don't pay". I pay my bills and I will happily take my son to go see another doctor.

The sharp Dr. Von Tiehl & staff have all been amazing and really have helped me take more direct control of my allergies caused by everyday environmental allergens (hard to avoid) the treatment is one thing the people and the environment is another. Positive experience every-time. Genuine people and care. Thank you to everyone, and for anyone on the fence about who to trust and where to go for dealing with severe allergies, this is it.

100% would recommend Dr. Karl Von Tiehl. He is such a warm, well-mannered, and very knowledgeable physician. He knows what he is doing and he does it in an efficient amount of time. The appointment was at 8am and he had an office packed up the roof and everyone waiting and he was still able to treat the problem and give a proper diagnosis and also refer to other specialties as well. His staff was also super respectful and they were honest and open about all their policies. Super easy to talk to and felt like they were very well trained so good work to Dr. Von Tiehl and his manager and staff!
