Long story short, I really appreciate that Dr. Gescuk was able to see me quickly. The appointment and admin process were smooth. The staff was helpful and kind. My visit with Dr. Gescuk was positive in lots of ways. His review of my medical records and history was intentional and specific. He conveyed interest, care, and expertise -- all of the things one wants in a doctor. The physical exam was thorough. His explanations were clear and helpful. He patiently answered all of my questions and patiently mapped out a plan for me going forward. I am really grateful. Excellent experience. I highly recommend.

Dr. Gescuk is part of San Mateo Rheumatology . We consulted with him for a second opinion when a rheumatologist in another practice diagnosed my husband with RA and recommended he immediately begin preventive treatment with methotrexate, an extreme drug with potentially dangerous side effects.Dr. Gescuk was straightforward, easy to talk to and knowledgeable. He confirmed that my husband DOES NOT have RA, has no symptoms and that there is no study or guideline that recommends taking methotrexate to prevent RA symptoms.

I had a terrible experience with this provider. I felt that the visit was not empathetic and certainly lacked the collaborative approach you would expect from a provider nowadays. I do not recommend this provider from this experience.

He has amazing empathy for his patients and is extremely sincere in his care and concern of my health issues. His staff are also friendly and professional. I would highly recommend and will do so to my family and friends!

I had appointment with Dr. Gescuk today. The appointment booking, checkin, pre-checkup and the appointment itself were all amazing. He took his time to go through my symptoms and did not rush me at all. He even googled images to explain the problem better to me. I had to get an injection, which was pretty painless and non-traumatic (I hate needles).

I saw a rheumatologist in Redwood City when I began experiencing severe health issues and couldn’t walk anymore. Mind you I was a pretty healthy 24 year old active female when I suddenly began to feel ill the past several months. I decided to have a multitude of labs done through various doctors and reviewed these labs with the Redwood City doctor. She hardly expressed any concern and told me that my positive tests could mean anything and that Lupus was just a “label”. I moved on from that doctor and found Bryan and my intital impression of him was that he felt deep sympathy for what I was going through. He explained to me my illness and told me I infact have SLE accompanied by Rheumatoid Arthritis and wanted to put together a treatment plan immediately. He explained all the ups and downs of everything I would experience and was very open to all of my questions regarding my health. I highly recommend this doctor for anyone experiencing health issues involving rheumatology. I am not even close to being better but I trust and believe he knows I will improve and get this into remission.

Dr. Gescuk has been my rheumatologist for the last 13 years. He is an excellent doctor and his professionalism and ethics standards are highly commendable. Thank you for your dedication.

Dr Gescuk is a very good Doctor. He listens to you and he gathers the input from you to make his diagnosis. He is very easy to talk with. He truly cares for the patient.
