List of Daniel J. Buckley's Reviews
Dr Buckley was kind and down to earth. Didn't push me to make any unnecessary expesenses. Easy and relaxed appointment process. Receptionist was also very nice. Definitely recommend!!
Very nice and kind treatment with a great results from Dr. Danielle and everybody in his crew.
I am so thankful for doctors like Dr. Buckley! First of all, I am so grateful that he takes my insurance, which is through Covered CA, and one that most doctors don't take. Second of all, he is a great doctor. He is very experienced, patient, and has a very good bed side manner. I was pleasantly surprised! I came in very panicked about a situation with my eye and he explained what was going on very clearly and did not hesitate to answer my myriad of questions. He is clearly very knowledgeable in his field.I highly recommend Dr. Buckley.
My Optometrist (Dr. Monetta) referred me to Dr. Buckley for cataract operation on both eyes. It was easy to get an appointment. Previously, I had mono-vision (left eye distance, right eye reading) in Lasik and contacts. Dr. Buckley thought I would be an excellent candidate for mon-vision cataract operation. The first operation (right eye) was scheduled at Seton Outpatient Center and I was able to get the second operation (left eye) one week later. My vision is 20/20 and very clear. The staff at Dr. Buckley's office is knowledgeable, caring and friendly. I am very pleased!!
I have been a patient of Dr. Buckley for years. I have a very severe dry eye situation that causes corneal damage if I don't have restasis. I recently have a new job that is not close by and can't take time off yet, but because i haven't been for an exam in a while the office refused to help with my prescription. This is a medical emergency and they won't help me.
I chose Dr. Buckley for my cataract. As another physician, I researched my options and selected him. He has an excellent reputation amongst my colleagues. I was extremely happy with my perfect result. I can see clearly now at last! My cataract came on suddenly, and now with a new lens, I can concentrate and not notice it any longer. The surgery went great, minimal discomfort. Staff in the ambulatory surgery center were excellent. I used the eye drops for one month, and now I'm all clear.!Dr. Buckley's staff was friendly and nice. They changed a few appointments for me, found old records from a previous ophthalmologist, and answered all my questions. The billing was simple and fine. No surprises. I would highly recommend Dr. Buckley to anyone.
I give Dr Buckley my highest recommendation! Not only is he kind, he's a great physician. He even came in on his day off to see my husband who had an eye emergency.
Dr. Daniel J. Buckley is a great Ophthalmologist. He takes his time with each patient and really cares and tries to help and solve the problems to my eye care needs. It explains why his appointments are usually schedule over a month away. There's a high demand to be seen by him. I recommend him to everyone I know who seeks a good eye doctor. He's nice and kind along with his office staff.
I was patient with Dr. Buckley for over 10 years. I like him as a Dr., but the billing office is a mess. I received a bill for co payment of $45.00 for a date that I had not visited him. After almost a year of trying to sort it out with the office and asking them to send me a copy of the Dr's noted from my file, I received a copy of a visit that I had made about 3 year earlier for which the co payment was paid. I explained all this to the office and stopped receiving reminders about the above mentioned $ 45.00. After almost a year, today I had an appointment to see Dr. Buckley. When I called to ask if there are any delays, the lady who answered the phone reminded me about the " outstanding" co payment of $45.00. adding that she had just spoken to Dr. Buckley whotold her that he will not see me unless I pay the " outstanding co payment ". If, what she said, happens to be true, I must say , I never expected that a Dr. Can stoop that low and treat his patients this way without finding the facts. I am sure by now he knows how his billing department operates. he could at least give me the benefit of doubt and ask me why the $ 45.00 is not paid.
My partner and I have been going to Dr. Buckley for over twenty years. Except for the office staff problems, including the patients having to wait so long, which seem to be rectified as of now 8/2013, we are very impressed with Dr. Buckleys skill as well as the time he takes with each patient. I'm impressed he speaks fluent Spanish to meet the needs of all this patients. He has always called us back, even on weekends, when an emergency arose. My insurance doesn't cover him at all, and I still choose to go to him and pay out of pocket. It's worth it to me to have a doctor I can trust and can talk to. He is very personable and friendly and still a solid professional. I just wanted to add this to the reviews to give balance. We think he is a great doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
