List of Indu F Zalpuri Fotedar's Reviews
I have never met such a rude, insensitive, uncaring not only doctor but human being in my whole life. Seriously this lady is such a pill pusher and takes no active interest in her patients. She has the biggest sense of god syndrome I have ever seen. She is the scum of doctors and has no right to be practicing! Not only did she cancel my appointment last minute, the second time I rescheduled with her I started discussing the immense pain I was having in my stomach and how it was hard for me to get out of bed. She then responds in her ARROGANT tone that I had a depression issue combined with stress and I should be put on Prozac. (Are you kidding me!?) All this lady does is refer her patients to other doctors, and collects her check. She should be embarrassed of herself and how she treats others! This is PSA to anyone looking into this lady....stay away! There are much more caring doctors in this county who will not only take an active interest; but show love and compassion when dealing with their patients, not to mention much better credentials.
I saw Dr. Zalpuri because my primary doctor (Mary Murphy) was on vacation. I found her attention to me rather cursory and she quickly dismissed my complaints (intentense stomach pain and difficulty swallowing) as nothing more than stress or a virus. She checked my vitals and sent me on my way. Clearly when my primary gets back in town, I will follow up with her. I found Dr. Zalpuri's approach both condescending and insulting. I would never recommend Dr. Zalpuri, I think there are much better doctors in the San Mateo area who are truly dedicated to the well being of their patients.
She was my primary doctor for about 4 months through Pacificare HMO (which sucks by the way) before I requested a new primary doctor. Once, when I had an appointment at 8:30am. I arrived at 8:25am and SHE called the office at about 8:35am and said she was sick and wasn't coming in. I'm totally fine with that, but if she knew that she had a patient coming in at 8:30am, she could have called earlier so the office could call me so I don't waste my time coming in. Another time, I had an appointment at 3:30pm and she didn't see me until about 4:20pm. And she spent less than 5 minutes with me. I had again another appointment where I had to wait more than 30 minutes and she seriously spent about 3 minutes with me. I told her I had this recurring orthopedic problem and she quickly said she'd refer me to physical therapy. She didn't even check my injury or anything. Another time, because my husband said I was snoring a little extra, I mentioned this, hoping she'd check out my nasal passages to see if it was just allergies or something, but nooooooo, she said she'd refer me to sleep study. And guess what? The referral came back DENIED because there was not enough documentation that I needed a sleep study! Duh. She is not thorough and not interested in her patients' well being. I cannot recommend her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
