List of K. Sue Arakaki's Reviews
Great MD, she is excellent. Highly recommend her!
My mom has been with this doctor for a bit and has been essentially ignored on many of her issues and invalidated. Told her many months ago about her anxiety and was invalidated but now has told her that she needs help with it.My moms English isn't the best so I understand struggling to communicate but this is clear unprofessional behavior. Not only that but the doctor has temper tantrums in front of her poor husband.
I have been a patient of hers for about 5 years. She is compassionate, listens to me, and is usually spot on with her diagnosis. She does not recommend procedures that you will not need, tries to push for things that she thinks you will need, but she listens to you (e.g. if you are not ready for a certain procedure, if it's not a necessary one, you don't have to do it or she helps you find alternatives). The office is a little outdated, but I love that if I am sick, I get to be seen by my doctor most of the time on the same day (in a lot of other offices you will be seen by assistants). I am happy with her being my PCP.
I consider Sue the doctor's doctor. I'm a chiropractor and have known her professionally for many years. I took my wife to her the other day. First, my wife, as I often tell her, is The Customer from Hell, regardless of what she is buying. It's often never quite right and she tends towards impatience and a sense of self-entitlement (as many Americans can).Sue was/is incredibly patient, warm, compassionate, caring and competent, a combination I rarely find in a doctor. She took the necessary time with my wife and even went a little overboard to acomodate and listen to her. You just don't find docs like that out there any more.REED, her front desk guy, and sometimes husband, is also wonderful. He has a dry, self-deprecating sense of humor runs the office efficiently and without apparent effort. Obviously, I cannot recommend this office enough and you're certainly in great hands. BTW-My wife switched docs after that one visit. 'Nuff said.
Dr Arakaki is such an amazing doctor.... so compassionate and easy to talk to. I feel so lucky to have her. She always makes time for her patients and she is so knowledgeable. And her husband runs the office and does such a nice job. They are a great team and I would recommend going to them if you are looking for a wonderful physician who really takes the time to get to know you and your family.
I saw Dr. Arakaki for the first time and I can't remember the last time I experienced such compassion. She could tell I was in a lot of pain and needed a specialist. It was a Friday and she spent 30 minutes on the phone explaining my condition to at least three people until a specialist agreed to squeeze me in that afternoon. She prevented me from having to go to the ER or suffering through the weekend. What an amazing doctor! Her husband is very kind and they complete each other magnificently.
Probably one of the worst doctor offices I've been to. The husband is very nice, I believe he runs the front desk. His wife, the doctor, not so much. Awful bedside manner, and she kept invalidating everything I was saying and was treating me like I was wrong for seeing her and asking for help. Made me feel stupid for the questions I was asking, I could see judgement all over her face. Won't ever be coming back here. Her office is also very dated and doesn't exactly make you comfortable..
Because of my insurance, i have to change a new provider. I chose Dr. Arakaki as my primary physician. I had to sit an hour before she came to greet me since she has no receptionist. She just asked me a few questions and gave me a lab order. I went to take my blood test mid -April and still I haven't heard anything from her. I called her last week and she said she doesn't have access of my results. She took my number and said would call me back. Haven't heard from her. Very disappointed and frustrated. I don't think she has good office management. I think she is very irresponsible and unprofessional . Ready to change a better doctor. No wonder she doesn't have a lot of patients l

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
