Lucy Schmidt's Online Review Report Card

Both myself and my husband have seen Dr. Schmidt for several years now for various issues. She is our go to dermatologist for anything other than purely cosmetic dermatology. She is kind attentive and skilled at her profession. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Lucy.

Dr. Schmidt has helped my son and myself so much over the years. She is incredibly knowledgeable and ever so friendly and kind. I highly recommend her.

Dr Schmidt is awesome! She's very knowledgable and kind, she listened to me carefully and understood my skin issues right away. I left her office feeling positive and happy I would definitely recommend Dr. Schmidt!

I have received wonderful treatment from Dr. Schmidt.  She was able to cure a skin condition in a very short time, when a prior dermatologist spent years trying to do so, to no avail.  She is very knowledgeable, personable, and thorough.  She does not deserve a 1-star review because someone does not care for her receptionist, or a lower than 5-star review because she doesn't do 'cosmetic' dermatology.  I recommend her highly.

Dr. Schmidt has been able to treat and rid me of skin issues that another dermatologist couldnt after several years of trying to do so. She is very personable and knowledgable. I highly recommend her for any dermatology issues that you might have. She does not deserve a 1 star review because someone does not care for her receptionist nor a reduced rating because she only does dermatology.

Lucy Schmidt is the best. Id like to edit my review all these years to elaborate on why that is. I had terrible terrible acne. I thought I could never get rid of it. She put me on Accutane and that fixed everything for me. Im so so thankful to her because Ive been to other dermatologists who wouldnt take my concerns seriously. Thanks to her Ive been acnefree for 3 years.

I visited Dr.Schmidt during august 2019 due to serious hairfall across my scalp and body.Didnt got any advice from doctor instead was told its a male pattern hair loss and nothing can be done. Even after mentioning there is hair loss from eyebrows eyelashes beard and across body there was no proper advise and diagnosis.I tried a different doctor who performed a proper dermascopy and then a biopsy and was able to find the root cause of my condition.With Dr. Schmidt Ive not only wasted my money but precious time to stop my condition also lost my morale for months after seeing her.HAIRFALL is not Dr. Schmidt expertise please see other doctors who have more handson treatments with hair fall situations.

Worst customer service ever. The lady  at the front  desk is very rude and condescending and her communication skIlls are sub par at best. I've been here a  handful of times to get lipomas removed and every time I have to deal with her she  either gives me attitude or schedules the wrong appointment length therefore making my appoinent  useless.

Going to start off by saying that since moving to San Mateo from Vancouver I have felt so welcome and warm inside. This was not the case upon communicating with this dermatology office. The doctor has really great reviews and a friend from bible study recommended her to me for my sun spots and dry skin I've been wanting to take care of. The receptionist literally killed my experience. She was so rude over the phone and would not answer any of my questions about what type of insurance they accepted. When I told her if she could speak a little louder, she snapped at me and said "fix your phone, ours is perfectly fine lady" I then told her I was on my cell and volume was all the way up. She hung up on me. When I called back she basically told me that she didn't have time for me or my phone issues and that it was not my fault I was deaf. Seriously people! The nerve of this person! I should've taken the time to read the reviews on "the receptionist Leslie" b/c let me tell you, they are not good! I will be taking my business elsewhere! Terrible when "employees" kill your image as a doctor!
