UPDATE: 3 stars to 4 stars - 01/28/2021 I went back to Dr. Holland's office after difficulty with the glasses I ordered from EyeBuyDirect.com The staff was super friendly and willing to help. They looked up my prescription compared it with my current glasses and asked lots of questions to clarify what had happened with my order. it was discovered that when you buy on EyeBuyDirect, they give everyone a generic focal point and if that's no good for you, then you need customized lenses from an optometrist. They gave me my options and I will explore how to proceed. ORIGINAL REVIEW: 3 stars - 11/24/2020 I picked Dr. Holland's office because my health insurance suggested he was in network and the closest doctor around my home. On 11/24/2020, I went for my first visit. I only wanted a prescription, the staff and doctor were pleasant. Upon completion of my exam, I paid $50 to the manager herself. 10 minutes or so after departing, I received a call from her advising they'd have to charge another $100 for the professional fee as it is only discounted if I also purchase glasses from their office. This seems outrageous to me that the price would triple and the fact that it happened after leaving and at the end of the year made me very suspicious. Ultimately, make sure you get a quote for the exact services you intend to request.

The best customer service and professionalism throughout the years. I highly recommend using their services! Good doctors. Rude front desk staff. Tried to complain to an office- manager Mila- she replied “ if you don’t like us you can go to somewhere else “. Mila- I don’t come to see you, I come to see my doctor. Unbelievable rudeness.

Dr. Holland has been my ophthalmology doctor since my kids were born (11yo and 7yo). There are no words can describe how happy we are that we are his patients. Very patient delicate, attentive, intelligent takes his time with patients. Never rushes us out the door. Always treats my family with special attention. He is absolutely great with kids and most importantly very patient with them. Always has a smile on his face. My kids absolutely enjoy going there and have absolutely no fear of visiting doctors. It is blessing to have him. His staff is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Never make us wait for longer than 10 minutes. Always send cards in the mail to remind about our next appointment. I find it very fascinating and feel comfort and care when we come there. God bless doctors like him!!!!Oh and I also referred my mother, my aunt, my cousin and my nephew over to him. They are as thrilled as I am about his care. Thank you again!

In Daly City it's not hard to find facilities that people can go to for medical care or optometry work. But what does make a difference is the physicians that you see. They can either be very family oriented and relaxing or very straight to the point, with what can be perceived as a dry demeanor. Here at Dr. Holland optometry practice he and his staff are friendly and very helpful with all their patients. Located down the hill from Seton medical hospital, Dr. Holland's office is in a large building combined with a few other medical practices. The neighborhood is calming and surrounded by apartments and nursing homes for the elderly, which means that the community that he works in is quiet and clean. Being here for years he clearly knows how to serve the community. One of the great things about this practice is the fact that they take many different kinds of insurance. Including those from Medi-Cal or for low income families. They also offer discounted rates for those who cant afford the full out-of-pocket price for their glasses. Knowing that glasses can be quite expensive, when adding up the different levels of customization options. This can be a real treat for those who choose this optometrist office. Your glasses are an extension of you and is something that you're going to live with for a couple of years. So it's best to go to an office that specializes in the quality of the glasses as well as personalizing the time they spend with the persons Involved.
