Dr. Kelly is out of network for United Healthcare, which means you could pay the entire kit and kaboodle for services.
I honestly haven't seen Dr. Kelly in almost 8 years, but for some reason he popped in my head and I was curious if he was still in practice. When I was 20, I had tonsillitis pretty much every month for a year before Dr. Kelly performed surgery. He was so caring, my mom and I would always talk about how much we wished he was in general practice so we could see him more. Not sure if he has the same office staff, but they were amazing too. I would not be bummed to have to see him again, even if I had to pay out of pocket since I'm with Kaiser now.
Dr Raymond Kelly, MD, FACSWas by far the most attentive, knowledgable and reasonable Doctor imaginable. He re assured about a lifelong issue with ears and sinus, confirming that there was nothing unusual, but a rather chronic allergic rhinitis. We have follow up in the season when my allergies usually react, and he will evaluate when flared up. Could not recommend anyone with more high marks. He obviously cares and puts his patients first. So sincere and genuine. Years since I met a doctor like him.
I have been going to Dr. Kelly for many years. He is by far the best doctor. I had been sick for many weeks after getting an infection and had an ongoing cough that even though I'd been to other doctors, I couldn't get rid of. I was recommended to Dr. Kelly by a co-worker and he was excellent and resolved my situation. He definitely is like Dr's of the past. He will usually fit you in if he can, be prepared to wait (it's worth it) sometimes. When he sees you he takes you in to his office, spends time with you and doesn't rush you, he personally calls in prescriptions and will return your calls personally, even if it's way after hours. I saw Kate's review and yes, he doesn't take medicare (too many problems for doctors), but his office staff explained that they will bill medicare for you. You receive the check and either assign it to Dr. Kelly or write him a check personally. If it's a covered visit by medicare your secondary insurance will also pay their amount depending on which medicare plan you have. I have found his staff to be very helpful. I care mostly about whether I have a good, caring doctor more than anything else. Many doctors just don't have/or take the time needed with patients because of how many patients they have etc.
I have been to many doctors over the years and none of them have been as personable and truly qualified as Dr. Kelly. He spent the time necessary to evaluate my condition which was about 45 minutes. That included a thorough examination including a itch in my throat using a mirror that many doctors of years ago used to use. (now they just look in your mouth). It was very, very, clear that Dr. Kelly was dedicated to finding my problem.I could not possibly recommend a doctor any higher than Dr. Kelly. He kind of reminded me of my old Dr. Sims, that used to come to my home when I was six or seven years old with a small doctors bag---very personal and caring.
Dr Kelly is fine - he is competent and caring. His office and staff is reprehensible in action, behavior and information. They will not tell you that he is an "unassigned" doctor. In other words, when insurance is submitted ,the primary insurance does a discount amount, an allowed amount and the benefit.Your secondary insurance is not notified by Kelly's office. AND you are charged for the Whole amount - not the discounted amount for the remainder of the bill. This almost amounts to fraud. I had to call medicare, which told me there is not an automatic cross over because Dr. Kelly is designated as "UNASSIGNED" His office does not tell you this. You have to be proactive, contact your secondary carrier yourself. They do not tell you You are responsible for the Whole amount charged for the remainder of the bill not the discounted amount. For this reason alone I would definitely NOT recommend his office. But they are also rude, harangue you and cross out checks in a grossly unprofessional way that one has sent because in their opinion it is not the total amount. I pay for TWO insurances - plus deductions - one would think that would be sufficient! There are honest ENT offices around (I can only hope) that state their charges upfront and forthrightly and follow through in a calm business like and professional manner. I recommend those alternative offices.
Dr. Kelly is fantastic. He takes the time to really get to know you. He asks questions, he doesn't rush you. He really cares about his patients well being. He takes take at the end of appointments to allow the patient to ask questions. He even called me personally after hours to let me know he'd spoken to my primary care physician about a medication he was considering for me and wanted to discuss my options. I was so impressed he took the time to investigate, get a second opinion from another doctor and had my well being as the top priority. I was a new patient and was in the waiting room when a family walked out with a young child. The parents were raving about how amazing he was with their daughter. It's rare that you find a doctor like this!
My 10yr old son had frequent nose bleeds. We yelped Dr. Kelly and made an appointment. My son is a sensitive boy so he was very nervous. After a short wait, we met with Dr. Kelly who was extremely cordial and sensitive to my sons feelings. Dr. Kelly patiently explained what he was looking at, what he was finding and what he recommended. Before he did any treatment, he explained to my son what he was going to do and what to expect. He took the fear out of my son and we ended up cauterizing the blood vessels in his nose. Although Dr. Kelly is not a pediatrician, my son thinks he's the best doctor in America so far. It's been over a month and no nose bleeds, wonderful.Thank you Dr. Kelly
I rarely take the time to write a review--good or bad, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. I had my first appointment with Dr. Kelly yesterday and was enormously impressed. Dr. Kelly is a first-rate clinician and has obviously had many years of experience in his field. He is also a very empathetic and kind man who takes all the time he feels that is needed with each patient. Honestly, he is just a sweetheart! I also think his staff is first rate, very service oriented and pleasant. To top it off, Dr. Kelly brings his dog, "Annie" to the office, and she is absolutely precious! You may have to wait a bit to see him, but this doctor is worth the wait; when it's your turn, you will have his full attention and professional knowledge. Highly recommeded!
Dr. Kelly is one of the best. He is technically skillful, medically knowledgeable overall, and a true gentleman.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
