List of Satish Raj Md's Reviews
If you believe you have POTS and you live near Calgary, Alberta then Dr. Raj is *the* guy to see. He’s no nonsense, funny, and lightly peppers conversation with a tasteful amount of profanity which puts me at ease. He answers all my questions when I see him, and makes time to call when his patients need him. I very much appreciate being given the opportunity to participate in his research. His staff are friendly and efficient, and it’s comforting to know I can trust I’ll be taken care of when I email the office. I do wish he had a deeper understanding of ADHD (though he’s a cardiologist, not a psychiatrist) and a more nuanced approach to patients who require stimulant medication to function. Overall, Dr. Raj is pretty fantastic and I’m endlessly grateful to be under his care.
If you are going to see Dr Raj at Community Health 77 Casa Street slo,ca.because you have Cencal then find another Dr if you can. They will only do one referral at a time . A couple of times he told me I have the right to go to another facility instead of giving me answer to my problem.the only other facility for Cencal is in Morro Bay which is 15 miles away and I don't drive.Your appointment will only be 15 minutes long for one problem. I had my appointment today he asked me the same questions he did on my last appointment which was a month ago my appointment lasted five minutes and he hung up on me. My 15 minutes wasn't even up I called back and he told me he had already referred me to sports and wellness that I needed to go to physical rehabilitation before I could be referred to a specialist to even find out what was wrong with my problem. WHAT HAPPENED To finding out what is wrong with your knee before you go to physical rehab in case you're making the problem worse. I called Sports wellness they had not received the referral. So I had to call the doctor back ,mind you I'm on hold every time to talk to the doctor or a receptionist, I found out that they had just called in my referral at 9:31 AM my appointment was 9:05 AM so the doctor gave me miss information. I'm 62 and yes have problems Parkinson's , arthritis , bi-polar, anxiety and who knows what else because I can't get answers to my problems.
I recently changed health plans with my work and visited Dr. Raj as a new patient to get some physical work and an X-ray on my hip that was sore and stiff. While in the office the appointment felt rushed not very thorough. After he recommended me to two different offices to get ab X-ray on my hip and blood work done. Both locations he recommended me to were out of network for me. Luckily the lab he recommended me to for blood work informed me that they didn’t take my insurance but gave me directions to a place right down the road that did. The X-ray lab however said nothing and took my insurance only for me to find out a month later that I had to pay the whole cost of my X-rays because it was out of network, I’m lucky I didn’t get more work done. First and last time I’ll be visiting Dr. Raj. Now I’m stuck with a 250$ bill because he didn’t bother checking my insurance and recommend me to two out of network facilities.
Dr. Raj is one of the best electrophysiologists you could hope to have. He's hard to get into, but very much worth the wait!
Functionally useless. Refuses consults, even from patients he has seen before. Seems only interested in his research, not particularly interested in patient care.
I wish I had never been assigned to Dr. Raj.I have never been treated so disrespectfully, with so little care, or felt so unheard. The things I asked for help with, in the appointment, he refused to help me with those issues. The areas he wanted to help me, were areas I explained I was ok with.Who orders an STD test for someone who hasn't had sex in over 6 years? He spent more time commenting me on my accomplishment of riding my bike there, than he did talking about medical stuff. Then, after a few minutes with him, he proceeded to tell me that he only gets 15 min with each patient. He then gets up, lets me know that he can't help me with my needed health issues, he will only help me with my non issues, lets me know the nurse will be in to finish up, and then walks out, 12 min after he walked in. What a joke! Not worth the over two hour bike ride.
Worst Doctor I have ever been seen by. I have been dealing with interstitial cystitis and major bowl issues. My stomach is visibly bloated and i pee 20 times a day. I've been to urologists to be scoped and gastroenterologists to have a colonoscopy. I am dealing with the worst chronic pain and discomfort for two years now but just need a Doctor that can help me understand the very physical issues I am having. I am not excited or crying or anything I am just ready to explain myself and what I have been dealing with and he cuts me off in the first minute of meeting me without even examining me at all. He told me I have a panic disorder, refused to give me a referral to my gastroenterologist that is waiting to set an appointment for me just needed a referral from my doc and somehow i got stuck with this guy. I told him I've been in chronic pain for months and he told me he was unwilling to help me. I CANT BELIEVE HE IS A DOCTOR. STEER CLEAR OF THIS GUY IF YOU WANT AN ACTUAL DOCTOR!
Dr. Raj is kind, attentive and thorough. He is supportive and encouraging and dies not rush his appointments.
Rude, arrogant, treats you like dirt unless you are research material.
I had him for a Dr for awhile. He only spends about 1-2 minutes and says, "Just a moment" and leaves. I had a growth on my eyelid and he said it is very serious and recommended a dermatologist. I asked if an opthalmologist would be better and he got upset. I went to the dermatologist and she said I need to see an opthalmologist. When I returned to Dr. Raj he dropped me as a patient. He won't listen and never even explained what the growth was. He spends very little time with each patient (sometimes only seconds before he leaves). He is one of the worst doctors I have seen and I have seen many.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
