List of Bruce R Carlton's Reviews
It's 211, my appointment was at 1245. He seems like a nice enough guy, but why demand patients see you on a monthly basis when you can't see them within an hour and a half of their appointment time. Do people in this area not have jobs to go to? FFS. I'm going to have to get back to work and I literally and specifically took extra time off because I know he is old and has mobility issues. This is ridiculous and his staff doesn't seem to care.
I think Dr. Carlton is amazing. He takes the time to really diagnose and treat your problem. I had severe dandruff and scales and my hair was falling out in clumps. I lost about 60% of my hair. He encouraged me to take a multitude of blood tests, fungus tests, and even a scalp biopsy. I was finally diagnosed with Serrobic Dermatitis which led to me having Tellogen Effluvian (hair shedding). He also has a terrific bedside manner. He makes conversation and really explains your diagnosis and treatment plan. I am proud to say that my hair is now growing and it is so thick now. I know this is off topic, but I have to admit I have a crush on him because he is so likeable. And, I am half his age. Well, anyways, I highly recommend Dr. Carlton!
Dr. Carlton often runs late, but he really knows his field. There is no substitute for his lifetime of experience.
Long over due. This place is a JOKE! I had an appointment at his Vacaville office. And I will never go see him again. Nor will I ever recommend anybody see him. I will let any friends or family know how terrible that office was. It was FILTHY and I do not understand how they are still in operation. Someone needs to call the health department. It is absolutely ridiculous how dirty that place was. First of all, when I checked in the receptionist (VERY NICE LADY) made sure to let me know he was about 2 hours behind. But I thought I'd stick it out just in case he was able to catch back up. While waiting in the lobby I could hear him SCREAMING what I came to know as his medical assistants name every minute or so. (I feel EXTREMELY sorry for the woman that way he demands her around like a dog) I waited in the waiting room for almost an hour between I was even able to get in a room. The nurse who roomed me was also a very sweet woman and apologized many times for the long wait. I was in my room for about 15 minutes and could still hear him screaming the poor girls name. I finally opened my door to see what was going on out in the hallway. That is when I caught a glimpse of the "Doctor". He looked like a homeless man who hasn't showered or anything in years. His pants weren't even buttoned and his shirt was disgustingly dirty. It literally looked like any food he'd eaten that day made its way onto his shirt. He was stumbling around like a drunk person and had zero respect for his employees. I instantly walked out and have never turned back. I apologized to the ladies that work for him for the way that they are treated by him. He is not professional at all and I don't know how he has any patients at all!!!! I know that he has two other offices and I don't know how he is at hose offices but I will be posing this on the pages for those offices too. DO NOT GO SEE THIS DOCTOR. YOU WILL MOST LIKELY WALK OUT WITH SOMETHING WORSE THEN YOU HAD WHEN YOU WALKED IN!!!
I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy. My appointment was at 130 and two hours later still no doctor or a nurse to tell me what's with the hold up. Yes, bed side manners and attentiveness is very important with a doctor but so is punctuality for appointments made by your own office! His patients are very lucky that he's only a dermatologist and not a heart surgeon. This office is a joke.
I have seen Dr. Carlton over the last 7 years. He is very professional and has great bedside manner. Truely a caring doctor who puts his patient care first (yes, his office is simple and a little dirty). I think the reason he gets behind in his schedule is that he allocates special care to his patients and give them everything he has. Yet, I have waited up to three hours to see Dr. Carlton. I have learned to book the first appointment of the day. Then you have a max 30 min delay. Great doctor...not many like him...but you have to be patient and schedue accordingly.
Great dermatologist! only one that diagnosed me correctly after seeing serveral Dr's. & the medicine he prescribe has been working wonders for over a year now! the wait in the waiting room is worth it.
Altho he was 25 mins. late for first appt of the day, he appeared to be aware of what he was referring to===and I hope his follow up and estimation of slides in 2 weeks is accurate.Office was clean-=staff is very nice===wait time in room was only 5 mins. All in all I am happy with the visit.
good DR i knowen him sece i was a little kid
As requested, I arrived at the Vallejo office well in advance to complete my new patient forms. I completed this process and paid my co-pay before the scheduled appoitment time. I waited for 65 minutes and then advised the receptionist I would wait no longer. I will obtain medical treatment elsewhere.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
