I literally just had to get staples out of my head
Brought my son to this urgent care location today and I left upset. The front desk staff was good with our check-in, very fast and friendly. The visit took a slight turn with the Medical Assistant. While she was friendly when taking my son vitals, after she asked the reason for his visit she reached and began to touch the area of concern WITHOUT washing her hands OR putting in gloves!! My son was then seen by a PA, who again was very friendly and knowledgeable. He put on gloves and examined the area on concern. He gave us his opinion on my son's condition but stated he wanted to get a second opinion from another doctor. The MD entered our room along with the PA to give a second opinion. The MD was friendly as well, HOWEVER, when he went to examine the area of concern he too DID NOT wash his hands OR put on gloves!! I immediately asked him to stop touching my son unless he washed his hands or put on gloves and I stated that the Medical Assistant had already upset me by not properly cleaning herself or wearing PPE prior to touching my son. The MD proceeded to put on gloves without giving any response or acknowledgment about my concern. He then examined my son and gave his opinion. When the visit was over I thanked the PA for his care and explained my concerns about the cleanliness of their office and office staff. There should never be a time when a patient is being examined without proper protection and cleanliness. This was below the standards in my opinion. We will never visit this urgent care again!
Went there a day before Christmas because of an allergic reaction to food and my throat was partially closed. The assisting nurse was helpful and most staff was ready on hand with an epi-pen, but the actual physician that saw me was rude. The fact that she acted as if my allergy wasn't important was very upsetting. She asked me has this happened before and I told her yes. Then she proceeds to ask how do I know it was from the food?! Didn't I just tell you this has happened before?! It was mostly the lack of empathy. But the assistant was very helpful!
This place was SOOO DISAPPOINTING ! Came in at 4, no one in the front so we went back to where the urgent care waiting room was (as we've done before) this man stopped us mid way, told us to go back and write the patient's name who was there to be seen and phone number, we were also told "once they're ready to see you they will call you, and you guys will be the last patient to be seen today because we close at 6". We go back to the car to wait to be called (which I get because COVID) Fast forward to 5:45pm as a joke I said "watch them not call us", so of course in the back of our mind the thought that was an actual possibility, so we end up calling and on the other line "we just called the last patient and we don't have this patient's name here, is she a patient here at the clinic? (4x mind you) and while waiting those couple of hours, how did the patient feel?" Basically looking for any excuse to say no to us. So what was the point of giving our information to the man then ?To be honest, this place will not even be the last resort for next time. If I can put 0 stars I would. I wouldn't even waste my time here if I were you.
This place has slowly went down hill. The supporting staff is ghetto, long wait times (1.5 - 2 hrs last 2 times I went) , I only come here when i dont want to drive to Martinez or Berkeley due to this UC is literally 2 minutes from my house . Due to reasons mentioned above please let this location be ONLY LAST RESULT
Everyone is really attentive and nice... I left there with all my questions answered
Worst hospital clinic and worst doctor experience and I would never come here or recommend this place. It waisted my time and I was waiting for half hour for some nurse to come but it comes out horrible check up with doctor. Doctor was dumb didn’t know how to tell me the health condition that I was having. I was struggling with my health condition. They didn’t even do some tests like blood test or x ray. Worst customer service too and rude. Never will come back to place ever!!!!
So it turns out that Lifelong immediate/ urgent medical care in San pablo on Vale Rd. is not immediate or urgent at all. My mom went in there today for strong stomach pain and was told over the phone that she couldn't be seen until she had a negative covid test. Who goes in there for an immediate or urgent matter and has a negative result in hand? My mom got upset and asked if people needed to die so they could be seen and the "Highly trained staff" (according to their supervisor Kevin) told her not to exagerate and hung up on her. Hung up on a person in pain instead of having empathy! They are basically getting paid to sit there and refuse service.
Doctors there need a refresher.em·pa·thy/ˈempəTHē/nounthe ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
