Dr Iwai's willingness to listen to me, plus his comprehension and acceptance of what I reported to him about my vision, together with his desire to try new means of vision correction, has earned him, my trust and respect!   Both my eyes have advancing Keratoconus.   Corneal lens would no longer adhere properly.   His first attempt to better my vision did not provide me with usable vision.   There was no charge for the new lenses I had worn.   He suggested another just recently available scleral lenses.   His fine fitment of these scleral lenses provided me with stable and very comfortable vision.

I went and saw Iwai after seeing several other eye doctors over the years. He was by far my favorite doctor. He provided detailed explanations of my questions, discussed options, was friendly - the best bedside manner. I got deeper understanding of my vision and what the various tests actually mean regarding my vision care.The equipment at the office is advanced.The biggest negative is that the office is a bit more structured. By this I mean it doesn't feel like a small office where you get immediate cozy care. There is a front office, you may have to spend some time in the office waiting for the doctor. This is standard in any modern doctor office which has multiple doctors and larger number of patients.In summary I am going to work to stay a patient of Dr Iwai as long as I can.

Dr Iwai has been my optometrist since I was considering Lasik. Dr Iwai and the staff have been taking good care of me before and after the Lasik. When there was a potential issue with one of my eyes, they were able to quickly set up an appoint with my HMO and a specialist. Everything has been great, the staff is friendly and Dr Iwai really cares about my eyes continued good health. My new job's vision insurance isn't accepted by them, but I'm staying with Dr Iwai.

This place has the most friendly staff! It is clean, and I always love the choices of frames!

Dr. Iwai is friendly and he listens to your concerns and he explains everything in a way that's easy to understand. I'll recommend this place to anyone.

In this day and age, it's hard to find a whole office full of people who treat their patients with respect and kindness and do a great job.  I've been seeing Dr. Iwai and his team for years and have consistently had great service AND great eye care.  I highly recommend San Pedro Eye Care!   They are all great professionals and great people.

I have been going to San Pedro Eyecare for 12 years. Their service is stellar. I see Dr. Caulkins, who is amazing. On occasion I have had another doctor and they all seem to be top notch. The technicians are great, too. I love how Dr. Caulkins finds new options to better meet my needs as my eyes change, and the way he explains things so that I have a thorough understanding. I am very nearsighted and over 50, but his accurate monovision contact prescription has made it possible for me to function without glasses at work, even though I need to be able to read, use computers, and read piano music--different distances. Everyone in the office is friendly and competent. They make the most of my dual insurance coverage and I never have to worry about a thing. I would love it if they got a wider glasses frame selection, but they are ok with adjusting frames purchased online, so you can't beat them!

I highly recommend this office. All the staff are very friendly. Dr. iwai took the time to explain the results of all the eye tests. Also, I love their big selection of glasses.

BEST OPTOMETRIST EVER!! Love this office, so efficient. And everyone always goes above and beyond! I have been going to Dr. Iwai for years. I have a difficult Rx and he is always attentive and tries until I am happy with my Rx. He also see's the rest of my family and my son whom is disabled. I am always in awe of how patient and kind they are with him. LOVE THIS OFFICE! :)

I have been going to see Dr. Iwai for a long time.  I am extremely nearsighted and wear contacts to correct my vision.  During my annual eye exams I am always satisfied with the care and attention that I receive.  My husband, mom, and nephews are also clients.
