Alissa Detz's Online Review Report Card

I've been a patient of Dr. Detz for a few years now.  She is extremely patient, caring and just a very nice person.  I have never had a doctor spend so much time with me.  I never feel rushed.  In fact, if anything, it's the opposite- I feel like she could be doing something else more important with her time.

I initially visited Dr. Detz about two years ago for ongoing fatigue and chronic pain. At first things seemed promising. She suggested that I might have chronic fatigue syndrome and referred me to a rheumatologist to rule out any autoimmune diseases. Everything turned up negative so I reached out to see what my next steps should be. I attempted to contact her several times and received no word back. I figured she thought my issues were out of her realm of experience and moved on. Cut to this year- I had scheduled an appointment with another doctor at the same practice- Dr. Chin-Garcia. I made the appt. months in advance only to receive a call the day of, informing me that she is not accepting new patients. Because I was so desperate for help and because it is so difficult to find a doctor who both accepts my insurance and is also taking new patients, I decided to give Dr. Detz one more try.  (Giving her the benefit of the doubt that she had never received my previous messages) I explained to her how debilitating my condition had become, that I have  had to completely change careers and turn my life upside down to accommodate the constant pain and fatigue. While she didn't have any solutions to offer she assured me that she would be speaking with her team to come up with some ideas and possible doctors to refer me to. Well, now weeks have gone by and, once again, no follow up from Dr. Detz. If you are in good health and just looking for a check up she might be fine but if your health issues are more nuanced don't waste your time.

Dr. Alissa Detz has been my primary doctor since my doctor of 20-years, Doctor Goldberg retired a couple of years ago and recommended Dr. Detz. And, I am very satisfied with the care that I received from her...she's caring and thorough, an excellent replacement of my previous doctor!

A doctor that really cares.  Dr. Detz is my primary care doctor.  It was my first time to the doctor in a really long time and she made me feel at ease.  She asked many detailed questions and I never felt rushed.  Very nice lady.I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor.  I also asked to get vaccinated due to the welcome of a newborn baby coming soon, and the nurse was really gentle.  The shot was over in no time and I didn't feel a thing.  He was also very nice and friendly.  All the staff made me felt welcomed.
