Marin Community Clinic's Online Review Report Card

I see a different doctor every time because the primary care doctor is booked months in advance.  It's a mixed bag for sure-Some good things & some bad.  Currently I have Obamacare because the premiums tripled once Obama passed the bill-& he quite literally "passed" the bill to the middle & lower class.  Now I cannot afford any kind of real insurance due to my income bracket & Obama care is the only choice I have.  Obama care is health care for all & quality for no one.  Under Obamacare doctors are getting paid way less so there is much less incentive now to become a doctor.  They are not saints who enjoy working for free-They are doctors!  At best the doctors here do whatever they can to help you. But at worst, here is an example; I was experiencing a serious heart issue, showing all the classic signs of having a heart attack. This was out of the blue... It was weeks before I could see a cardiologist. The cardiologist I saw was told all of the classic symptoms whenone is about to have a heart attack. Yet, he had zero desire to take an exray or MRI etc... set me a way to do a stress test, running on a treadmill basically. And didn't see me again for three weeks.  At which point he offered me no explanation of any kind.  Yet I experienced this heart problem for 7 weeks straight.  I spoke with others with different healthcare plans (wealthy people) who had the exact same symptoms & their cardiologists took it much more seriously-getting x-rays and MRIs done very quickly to figure out what was going on.   One of them sure enough was on the verge of having a heart attack.  This made me feel like the cardiologist I saw really didn't care about my life.  Literally whether or not I lived or died.  I'm assuming it was related to not getting paid (?). Another example, I went in and was diagnosed with Covid last month.  The doctors instructions; go home and drink liquids.  My response:  "that's it?"  No mention of Zink, VC, VD, magnesium, Pedialyte... Nothing.  Now with Obamacare, I am reading medical books and have anatomy flashcards and I'm learning how to do my own research.  At this point my own research has been  perhaps more effective than seeing a doctor under Obamacare.  To reiterate, the primary care doctors are doing the absolute best they can-& I have a tremendous amount of respect for the way they help as best they can.  If I need an antibiotic they are the only ones I can get it from-And they know which one is for which ailment.  I put three stars because I'm very grateful for the doctors who are doing the best they can for someone who can't afford healthcare... Even though the reason I can't afford healthcare is BECAUSE of Obamacare.  Obamacare has messed our health care system up really bad.

0 stars for you !!! Nobody answer the phone or call back  when you leave the voice-mail. Every time.... They don't care .Very bad service. also is not friendly, I'm very disappointed and very nervous every time when I need appointment ...

I have been going to the clinic for years..But, since covid, when they actually closed for nearly 3 months which put my life at risk, the lack of compassion and care has gotten much worse!Beware of doctors and staff that do not listen give you care that makes your pain and suffering much worse! ! !

No one answers calls nor they get back to your voicemails. Poor service. I have important questions regarding my health but no one cares to get back. COVID is an excuse for not answering calls in person. This of not a user friendly clinic..

I had a very unpleasant experience this afternoon at a time when I was looking for treatment at the Marin Community Clinic of San Rafael and want to reach out to you to insure you are aware.I had an appointment scheduled at 3:45pm to work on a tooth that was giving me pain.  I arrived at 3:20pm to fill out the paperwork I was asked to complete.  As I was completing the paperwork, I was approached by a staff member (prior to 3:45pm) telling me that if I did not complete this paperwork quickly, I would lose the opportunity to see the dentist to address my tooth issue.  I told them I was doing my best and had to read all the information before just signing it and was told that they were not able to see me.  I was upset at the way I was treated and asked to speak to a supervisor but after being told to come back I was told the supervisor had gone home already.  I did not feel that I was being told the truth.The bottom line is I felt that I was treated terribly in a time of need by the staff at this Clinic.  Despite the pain I am experiencing, I am going to look elsewhere to find a dentist who can help me as this experience was one that does not give me any faith in the staff or in any of the services that I might get there.I am still very upset and disappointed that there is only a generic email for "complaints" that I am not sure anyone will read and or act on.

The worst doctors office I have ever been to- and I have been to a lot of doctors!!! Horrible staff. Awful front desk. Complete lack of communication. Front desk never answers calls- you have to wait 20+ minutes to reach somebody. Very unorganized office..

I am very happy to have this community clinic in San Rafael and appreciate the care and support they provide. They are all great and helpful. Thanks to all!

Aside from the mispronunciation of Marin and San Rafael, these guys are a-OK. Phonetically speaking it’s pronounced Muh-rin andSan Ruh-fell, I’ve lived here for 40 years everyone pronounces it that way except for people who aren’t from here.

La atencion pesimamente horrible , para hacer una cita tienes q estar en el cell entre 30 a 1 hora , antes de la pandemia el servicio era Malo pero ahora esta peor , deja mucho q desear ..
