Yelp removed my photos of filth in an exam room, claiming they were not taken at the business, which I can prove to the contrary."Our Support team has determined that the content falls outside our Content Guidelines because it does not appear to be of the business, so it has been removed."So let me give you a visual by way of words. I sat on the board for this clinic for a decade, my word is valid and can be validated. The dental offices were NOT CLEAN and this was in the middle of the pandemic!! Lead aprons - filthy!! Trash receptacles - overflowing, counters not cleaned. Nothing wiped down between patients. Not the apron, not the chairs, not the counters. Yelp has basically called me a liar for caring about public safety. TSK.So anyone who has been to the dental offices and has gotten sick, after not having access to valid, verifiable information, you know who to sue.
This place is a shit hole, I was taken here as a kid And my oral development all started to gone down hell from there. Coming from an immigrant family they really didn't know much about oral care or have the money to pay for such care if needed. My mother was always the kind of person to trust any professional. So sadly I was left to the care of this clinic. They once refused to remove a baby tooth that was pass due and said it would fall alone and my mom listened to them. I eventually needed braces because in the end they removed the tooth but unsurprisingly the tooth that was growing under it came out crooked. I would eventually have a dentist for braces and these guys for dental hygiene. Now I suffer from periodontal disease in my late mid 20s. They never gave me advice that was helpful, if anything I have clear memories of them making me uncomfortable and in some occasions bringing me along because of poor practices. My main concern is that a lot of immigrant families from the canal come here and it worries me that the children might go through the same thing I did. So I mainly want to warn the families of that community. My mother wasn't very educated well on anything. So she just listened to people, and my father just wasn't concerned with it. Especially now when we're learning that dental care plays a huge role in the bodies health system. Stuff like lungs, your brain and heart can be effected by poor dental hygiene. So I believe it's the responsibility of the parents to take care of their children and sacrificing the financial end when it comes to their teeth. If you decide to come here on your own will and are an adult that's fine. You're risking your own health but for the children you should get the best care possible even if it means breaking the bank!
I had a very unpleasant experience this afternoon at a time when I was looking for treatment at the Marin Community Clinic of San Rafael and want to reach out to you to insure you are aware.I had an appointment scheduled at 3:45pm to work on a tooth that was giving me pain. I arrived at 3:20pm to fill out the paperwork I was asked to complete. As I was completing the paperwork, I was approached by a staff member (prior to 3:45pm) telling me that if I did not complete this paperwork quickly, I would lose the opportunity to see the dentist to address my tooth issue. I told them I was doing my best and had to read all the information before just signing it and was told that they were not able to see me.I was upset at the way I was treated and asked to speak to a supervisor but after being told to come back I was told the supervisor had gone home already. I did not feel that I was being told the truth. The bottom line is I felt that I was treated terribly in a time of need by the staff at this Clinic. Despite the pain I am experiencing, I am going to look elsewhere to find a dentist who can help me as this experience was one that does not give me any faith in the staff or in any of the services that I might get there.I am still very upset and disappointed that there is only a generic email for “complaints” that I am not sure anyone will read and or act on.
The people there are very nice but it's not well organized and I would only go there as a last resort I had a tooth extracted asked three times if I needed antibiotics Then the next day I have a fever go to the emergency room nurse asked me what type of antibiotics I'm taking and I told her I'm not For simple procedures proceed with caution
Honestly, they are doing the best they can. They're backlogged from a 5 month closure in 2020, it's affecting the entire community. The women manning the phones aren't the problem. The problem is that the disenfranchised always get the short end of the stick. That's a bureaucratic issue and not one about the fundamental service itself or the people providing it. The people working here are essential workers dealing with hundreds of high risk patients everyday, and although the system and telephoning is a pain in the a**, and at times painfully endless, the people who help us are patient, efficient, expert at their jobs, and from what I saw, treat all the people coming through the door with respect and courtesy. It's a huge job and as essential workers they place themselves at risk everyday, just as did through most of the pandemic.
I told them I needed immediate psychiatric help, they said first you need to see a primary care physician and there's a wait. I said I'm on the verge of a total breakdown and that wasn't efficient. They put me on hold and that was 47 minutes ago, after waiting already over an hour. So basically she got pissed at me and even though I told her I'm feeling suicidal, she put me on the "trouble call list".I called the billing line and got straight through and lodged a complaint. And got an appointment in less than 60 seconds.Food for thought.
Great services A+ , all the staff are amazing, really make me feel comfortable, I used to hate go dentist, but they change my mind
Dr. Jivan is a gem!I have always been treated really well at this location.
I am a single parent and college student so I have DentiCal and pretty much no income. This place is the only option my four year old and I have so I don't have a choice of where to go. They only do very simple procedures (if you can ever get an appointment) and usually end up referring me to specialist (none of which are covered by my "insurance") so when I was having issues with a molar I went in for an emergency appointment hoping that they could help me just get out of pain so I can function at all. But of course I left there still in massive pain and with the only option being a specialist who wanted $2000. I'm so fortunate to have family that helped or I would have had to get three teeth extracted and be fitted for a denture (I'm 32 years old! And the teeth could be saved but not by them apparently). Still I don't have any other option so I went in again hoping I could become a "regular patient" from there on (I have a decent amount of work that needs to be done) but that did nothing to get me regular appointments. It takes MONTHS to get an appointment so by the time I get one very small thing done on any of my teeth, I have three more issues that need to be resolved. This place is a joke. The people who work there are okay (not very friends but get the job done, if it can be at all) but the dentist don't seem to care at all. Oh and if you have a lot of pain they won't help. Half of my face was swollen to the size of a baseball and they just said "take Ibuprofen" like I hadn't tried that! And told me they didn't have time for a week. It was clear I had a major infection and could have easily gotten much worse if I hadn't gone to the emergency room. I still don't understand how dental work seems to be looked at as it's elective or something. I really hope the government can actually start helping people with their insurance and health services because it's certainly not happening now. So very sad!
The woman at the front desk was not helpful at all. She sounded rude.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
