Mental Health Solutions, more specifically, Dr. Majumdar and his staff have helped me get back my life! Dr. Majumdar is an experienced and compassionate psychiatrist whose expertise is in treating mood and anxiety disorders, including my Bipolar 2. Simply put, I would not be feeling as healthy and in control, as I do, without Dr. Majumdar's caring help. MHS is worth checking out for all your mental health needs. A+
Tl;dr: Extremely awful, stay away. They're terrible with prescription management.Writing this review with a throwaway account so I don't have to share my private health issues with my friends and family.Finding a psychiatrist these days isn't that easy, especially one that's willing to take new patients. Mindful Health had an opening, so I signed up. First appointment was fine, the provider asked me some questions, we talked about treatment options, and they set me up with a prescription and a follow up appointment. So far, so good.Despite the fact that the Mindful Health portal has a prescription refill request button, my provider never approved it until I had my follow up appointment. This was annoying since they would only prescribe me as much medication as it would take to get to the next appointment, so I was always down to the last few pills before I could get a refill. My pharmacy's automatic refill requests to Mindful Health either got ignored or denied, I never heard which. At this point I want to say that the medication I take isn't a controlled substance--I know that it can be complicated and only getting enough medication to the next appointment is the standard process. My prescription has never worked that way. My previous psychiatry office would just approve the meds, not contingent on appointments. The check-ins were actual check-ins and less holding the meds hostage. But anyway.A few months later, my provider left Mindful Health. I got a letter saying that my appointment was cancelled and that I'd be rescheduled. I had a bit more than a week's worth of medication left at this point, so I figured I'd sit tight. No call for the reschedule came, so when there were only a few days left, I called (several times, they kept redirecting me). Eventually I was able to schedule an appointment in their earliest slot--a whole month out. Ok, well, I could at least get a refill in the time in between, right? I sent in a request via the Mindful Health portal--no response for several days. At this point I started calling and messaging them, since I didn't want to have an interruption in my meds and crash (it sucks, let me tell you.)No response via the portal. On the phone, there were endless phone trees, and because I only ever attended appointments remotely, there was confusion as to which office I was actually attached to. When I eventually reached the office, they told me that my request would be addressed by the on-call doctor. I was a little concerned given everything that happened--would they actually approve my refill request instead of just...you know, sitting on it, like they had before? The person on the phone seemed irritated at my questions and gave me the bare minimum of assurances, plus no way to follow up with an actual doctor.Well, GUESS WHAT. No refill.Anyway, at this point I've booked an appointment with One Medical and am writing off Mindful Health. It's pretty rotten through and through, I don't recommend it at all.
I originally picked this provider because they were reasonably convenient. Unfortunately, I have been rather disappointed. They overcharge, and insist on having your credit card to charge before the appointment, despite getting the same payment from insurance. This is not just co-pay. I agree with complaints in other reviews, including other locations, too.Doctor Majumdar relies on pre-appoitemt forms to see how you are doing, barely asks any questions, and appears to be as compassionate and animated as a piece of toast. I am grateful to have my medications refilled, that's it.Oh, the office staff are nice on the phone. To summarize, best to use only as last resort.
Taking my son for treatments at Mindful Health Solutions has been a good experience. The staff are all very nice and helpful. The member portal works quite well and messages are responded to very quickly. There have been some challenges with the appointment scheduling in the portal where appointments drop off or times are changed without notifying us, but the staff do everything they can to make up for it and accommodate. My son is treated with friendliness and respect.
I'm a Zoom patient of Dr Majumdar's. He has been helping me navigate the challenges of my bipolar 2 (depressive) through talking, medications, supplements, exercise etc. Dr Majumdar AND his San Raphael staff are amazing. I can contact them thru my patient portal any time and get thoughtful replies. I wouldn't be doing a well as I am without the friendly, knowledgable and always patient care I am recieving from Dr Majumdar and his staff!
Seeing Dylan and Mercedes is always a highlight of my day. The staff is so warm and welcoming. I would recommend them to anyone!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
