List of Golden State Orthopedics And Spine's Reviews
It's the best, there were admin problems that are corrected, Wendy Wong is my doc, she's competent, efficient, her diagnosis have been right on, prescribed appropriate drugs, and her PA Anastasia is just as comp6, give me a cortisone shot in the office, took no more than 15 minutes from the time I walked in the office.Formerly Muir orthopedics, it's the clinic to go.George Birdsong
After waiting over a month for an appointment, I arrive 10 minutes early only to be told the therapist is not going to make it and there is no back up. Horrible service.
I met with Dr Michlitch to discuss options for my knee issues. We reviewed records, old X-rays and MRI’s, before getting a newer MRI. He was able to identify the issues lending to my knee problem, and the various courses of action to alleviate them. He was very personable, logical in his presentation, and answered all my questions and concerns. He is well versed and was a pleasure to work with.
I have known Dr. Hany El Rashidy for 10 years, or more, and he has treated my family of five with great care ranging from shoulder to knees. Thankfully no foot issues brought to him. He is diligent, friendly and really cares about bringing health back to our bodies. Super nice and skilled at his job.
Had an arm microfracture and got Golden State Orthopedics recommended by Urgent Care.Overall experience: 5Appointment - 5++I've checked their site and didn't discover anything befor May ... so I called them and got scheduled visit right away or tomorrow morning. Agreed on tomorrow morningReception - 4.9999 (in fact 5)Everything perfect, staff is great. Just my signature on this device was strange. But in fact it's fine. Digital form is far better then a ton of paper printed on both sides ... poor trees and ecology.Assistant - 5I've almost forgot the whole positive experience with Monica, so swift, easy, and positive it was. Good job! Doctor - 5++Well, Dr. Michlitsch had an arm injury on a right hand ... this immediately connected us.He listened to my story, we've joked a bit about it. He explained me all my x-rays and pointed on what's wrong.Got my brace and a ton of a positive experience.Really recommend that place.
Beware....on two occasions i visited GSO or their predecessor Webster Orthopedics. years ago in a case involving a finger...the dic advised minor surgery. I did a second review at Stanford...the head of the hand team told me absolutely no surgery and that the issue would resolve itself in 2-3 months...which it did.More recently I consulted with one of their shoulder surgeons...who ordered an MNPR of both shoulders. It showed rotator cuff tears in both. The doc advised surgery for both...in sequence...with about 6 months recovery for each.I scheduled 2 added opinions...at Stanford with their top shoulder doc and with one of the top shoulder docs in the south bay. Both tested my strength in both shoulders and neither could believe the surgery option. Both told me that at my age...70s...we all have tears...and that Physical Therapy and exercises would be the correct approach. Both surmised that I would never need rotator cuff surgery in my life!!!The message...do not take the first opinion as correct. I can only conclude that the first doc was more interested in the $$$ than what was best for the patient. In a confidential e mail I advised the first doc of what I'd learned.Docs in doc owned practices are often under pressure to meet billings goals...and perhaps this was the case.I'm still playing golf 3-4 times a week...doing my exercises...occassionally taking Advil for minor pain.
Wendy Wong is one of the most efficient and best orthopedics I've had the good fortune to be treated. She's efficient as was her support staff, I was in and out in 45 minutes with an excellent diagnosis, and a prescription. That's where things fell apart. Her office swore they sent a prescription to my pharmacy, no joy at my pharmacy. So I went back to the office and had a very nice administrative assistant check and she confirmed it was sent,in fact twice, and confirmed the pharmacy. Finally I asked my pharmacist to check it out and she discovered it had been sent to another pharmacy, but was unsure where. So my son went to all the pharmacies in Daville and found it at a CVS, the third pharmacy he checked. I tried calling the Dr. Wongs office multiple times, but simply got tired of being on hold. Again, Dr Wong and her staff were the best, 5 stars for sure, it was the administrative staff and communications systems that are lacking. George Birdsong
When I got in I was treated very professionally, Got an x-ray and an MD consult (Dr. Wong, wonderful and professional physician),She prescribed a drug to help with knee pain. To date, my pharmacy has not received any prescription from Golden State Orthopedics. I tried calling and after waiting 1 hour, no kidding. I gave up and went to their website, no way to contact them via email, although they suggest that the user email them, there is no email address. I could go on about that, but trust me, no way to email them. Then they suggest using their patient portal, but no instructions on how to access patient portal, they suggest coming in or calling them. You get the idea, an endless loop.I gave up and will go into their office tomorrow with a copy of this Yelp entry.George Birdsong
Amazing service, great stuff, very professional and I strongly recommend.
Dr. Michlitsch is a very caring Dr. He listens and I never feel rushed. He is very thorough.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
