List of John Muir San Ramon Urgent Care's Reviews
Urinary infection, and they didn't treat it well, call and didn't answer what to do, 7 days and I am dying in pain :(
I sprained my ankle. I thought I broke it with the pain and swelling. I made an easy on line same day appointment. I was seen within 5 mins from the time I got there. Within 15 mins my ankle was X-rayed Same building! They pushed me over in a wheel chair. The doctor there was so kind and caring. I did not break the bone they fitted me for a boot and wheeled me out to the car. I was in and out in one hour!!
Anyway to give zero stars? This evening I showed up at 8.30 pm with my 86 year old mother who was wheezing. The waiting room was empty and the receptionist told us that their last appointment had canceled but the doctor refused to see us and told us to make an appointment for the next day. They close at 9 pm and if they didn't want to see patients they should have locked the door. Defies all definitions of urgent care. Disgrace ful.
Always a good experience from all involved !
In general, I like this place but I had an experience there in February that had me rethinking this thought. I'm a barista and I got "tennis elbow" and was in a lot of pain. What I really wanted was to confirm my google diagnosis and maybe get an anti-inflammatory. Well, the doctor decided that I was having a heart attack because my elbow was hurting and she wanted to send me to the ER in an ambulance. Umm, it was just a work related injury, not a heart attack. She insisted. I get CYA but that was overboard and worse is that she then ignored my tennis elbow symptoms and focused on my "cardiac event" and decided to do an EKG. My blood pressure was normal, the EKG was normal, there was nothing. But she was very insistent that I go to the ER to get blood work done for my cardiac event. She was pretty sure it was a heart attack. I was over it, told her I would go and got the heck out of there. Next day saw my PCP and she said, "This was not a cardiac event, this is tennis elbow."
John Muir Urgent Care is very good at taking care of their patientsStaff and Doctors are very experienced and give special attention to patients
We arrived at 5:50pm on Saturday (this was our first problem) w our son who broke his finger. Instead of trying to help us, Receptionist clearly wanted to go home at 6:00 and made sure our wait time was long enough to push us to the ER. When we asked to speak to the doctor to request he order an X-ray he refused to see us. The entire experience was awful and we were forced to use previous ER resource. It’s a shame our community can’t do better.
Worst place for urgent care on weekends. do not go to this location if you have an urgency. i visited for a hand burn on a sat requesting urgent care and if it could be attended. front desk checked with physician and said yes. filled up all forms waited for 20 mins. when i checked she said there is only one doctor on staff (who you could see doing paperwork through glass windows) and on insisiting on wait time said at least 30mins.. all while patient was in pain. NO EMPATHY. i reached another urgent care in san ramon where we were immediately treated and rightly called urgent care. so much for all the branding..
Went in without an appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and caring. We didn't have to wait long at all. The girl who took the vitals was very caring and asked lots of important questions. When the PA came in, she asked all the right questions and directed us to imaging. It was right in the same complex. Also friendly people there. After returning to Urgent Care, we had the follow up which was very thorough. I was totally impressed. Beautiful facility, super clean and staff was very knowledgeable .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
