Ronald Cooper's Online Review Report Card

I had a hernia surgery with Dr Cooper on2/22/2018. It was scheduled as a laparoscopic, outpatient surgery in 45 min or so. It took 4.5 hrs and I was hospitalized after for 4 days with excruciating abdominal pain. I had 3 follow-up appointments and he told me he had a complication and cut a portion of my bowel. Newer told me why. In September 2019 I found out by accident, there's a case information for every surgery. It turned out he injured my small bowel (enterotomy) by accident and convert to an open procedure that took 4+ hrs. yes, mistakes/accidents may happen, especially if you don't know what are you doing, if you are tired, if you are in a hurry. But I think the patients are entitled to know what happened during the surgery. And Dr Cooper never told me. In addition, after the surgery the instrument and Bovie counts were incorrect. They had 2 more Movie tips and 2 more forceps than initially written down. This fact tells me that my bowel injury may have caused by not caring.

I had a surgery almost two months ago. and unfortunately for a very basic surgery due to the malpractice of the surgeon I am still recovering. Though the doctor said  that it will take just two days  to return to my normal routine. Because the surgery was suppose to be done on my arm, I asked the doctor if i could get a plastic surgeon. But the doctor convincingly told me that he had studied the surgery for 10 years and he is very experienced with applying those kind of stitches( which i later found out that he had no such experience). Instead of stitches, he put the glue on my arm wounds. The result was that the wound opened up within 24 hours of the surgery and got infected the whole arm n hand swollen. for that he gave me a very strong antibiotic n told me that stitches could be inflammatory too and we will talk about the cosmetic results in 6 months and recovery won't be before 5-6 months. The prescribed  antibiotic which I was taking four times a day was making  me tired, light headed all the time. When i mentioned it to him about the symptoms, he said its nothing to do with the surgery .i should go see the physician. though these basic side effects are on google. i don't know what kind of a doctor he is who cannot even know the side effects of antibiotics he is giving. it didn't end there even after more than a month the glue never came off. caused an allergic reaction. Finally, I went to my Physician who started with one antibiotic which didn't  fix the rash then another antibiotic , she ended up giving me steroids. I am still taking those steroids which has cure the rash. i went to the the surgeon on my routine post op and showed him the rash as usual  he refused to take responsibility and asked me to go see the dermatologist. (though he did peeled the glue  off with the tweezer on this visit) After multiple doctors appointments and heavy medication including steroids, i am finally recovering with obvious scars on my arm. I  seriously question the intelligence of this surgeon. anybody who looks at my arm freaks out at the mess created by this surgeon.
