I started treating with Dr. Antonyan more than five years ago. I cannot say enough about him. He is really great and I believe he saved my life. During my regular check ups, he saw a small spot on my skin that you would never be concerned about – it certainly did not look like cancer. But he wanted to check it and ordered a biopsy. Two days later, he called me that it was melanoma. But since he diagnosed it at such an early stage, he was able to remove it without any need for further treatment or cancer therapy. He is always booked ahead for weeks ahead, yet he scheduled my surgery within less than a week. And then, this last Christmas, I noticed another unusual spot on the side of my face. I have HMO and it takes time to get a referral for specialists. I called Dr. Antonyan (he is not my primary physician) as I was somewhat panicking. I was supposed to leave for vacation out of the country in two days. This happened during the Christmas week and I did not expect I would see him before I leave. But the same day I called, he was able to get an urgent approval for my visit and scheduled to see me the next day early morning. I was leaving for vacation that afternoon. What I really appreciated was that he went beyond to get me approved and see me before I got on the plane. The skin issue needed only minor freezing procedure and I could leave for the trip not worrying about it anymore. So I just wanted to say - thank you, Dr. Antonyan.
Dr. Antonyan is fantastic! He has provided me the highest quality care for many years. I would highly recommend him to anyone with skin issues and beyond.
I've been seeing Dr. Antonyan for about 6 years and he is so good and comforting when he does procedures. Talks you through everything so you're not afraid. The staff is always friendly and I feel comfortable going to their offices. You'll like everyone there!
Dr. Antonyan is caring professional, thorough and fast. His staff is efficient and friendly. I am disabled and they have an elevator and good handicap parking I recommend him and his office!

Took my toddler to see Dr. Antonyan and it was a pleasant visit! He is kid friendly, did a thorough examination and explained everything in great detail. Very patient! Highly recommend especially if Looking for someone for your child.
Dr moved to Orange County, CA. Saw him for first time this month. He's friendly when comes in. He talks to his assistant to document notes and speaks to him first before telling you what your issue is and what treatment is. When you hear medical jargon for what your issue is it sounds very serious. He should look at his patient and speak first to the patient. He spends more time talking to assistant than the patient. He charges extra to treat acne or to remove milia and says insurance doesn't cover it. This is first time I have heard insurance doesn't cover dermatological care. I wasn't asking for cosmetic treatments. Not sure I will go back.
Dr. Antonyan is fine. West Derm sucks. On top of all the charges my PPO insurance paid, the have a new patient office visit fee of $295 !! After numerous calls never returned and having to reach their out of state billing co, NO adjustments were made. $690 bill for 15 minutes and 5 liquid nitrogen sprays. Buyer Beware!
Warning My son was referred to Dr Antonyan one simple, common wart on his finger that should have required one treatment. Instead this Dr advises me it could take him up to a year of monthly office visits to get rid of it. HELLO, milking my insurance much? Then the wacky prescription cream he prescribed was not covered by my insurance. The pharmacy notified him twice of the rejected prescription and he never bothered to rewrite the prescription or follow up with me. I called the office numerous times and could never get any of his staff on the phone or even get successfully transferred to a voice mail.
I am a 60 year old that has spent a lot of time in the sun. It is recommended that I see a Dermatologist twice a year. I have had Squamous Cell Carcinoma on 2 different occasions. I have been in the Kaiser System for many years, but changed to a PPO Plan in 2023 for I had other issues that I wanted to be treated at City of Hope. Having these other issues taken care of, I have reached my out-of-pocket maximum for calendar year 2023. I went to see Dr Antonyan for a skin check. While in his waiting room I saw all of the adds for cosmetic surgery. His staff was nice. When I saw Dr Antonyan, my girlfriend, who was with me, pointed out several areas of concern. Most of which were poo pooed by Dr A. He did freeze several spots on my face and hands and recommend a Blue Light treatment. I also had a skin tag on my neck that Dr A was very weird about and asked me several times why I wanted it removed...like really? He seemingly reluctantly froze it off after I gave him an answer that he was satiated with, though it has since returned. Later I received a bill for close to $100 for the skin tag. I feel he should have said "I can take that off, but it will cost you close to $100" he said nothing. I was with him 5-7 minutes total. As for the blue light treatment, they cannot tell me what the cost will be. I Wonder why? I am sure Dr A is a fine Dr and helps a lot of people. but I feel it was not a good practice to take a skin tag off in 5 seconds and charge me $100. Be aware and ask questions. I will not be going back to his office.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
