Julian Alfaro's Online Review Report Card

I have been to many doctors over the course of my life, as I have been unlucky enough to have multiple medical complications. That being said, I have found most doctors do not care who you are, do not truly listen to you, and treat you like a number.Therefore, finding Dr. Alfaro has been a “god send” so-to-speak. He listens to me fully and respects my opinion, knowing full-well I know my body. For example: I explained to him that I am sensitive to medication, even small doses can be extreme. Since then, he has made sure to start me on the smallest dose to see how my body reacts. He did not question me; he listened! He has also never has treated me like a number. I come in and he greets me by name and takes his time discussing my health. He even drew a diagram to show me what exactly was going on with my body. I do not know many doctors who would take the time to do this unless it was demanded of them. When I accidentally left before they could check my BP again, Dr. Alfaro personally took the time to call me and request I return. Similarly, he called me when I began a new medication to make sure I was not having any extreme adverse effects.To say I’m happy to have him as my doctor would be an understatement. He is phenomenal!

Dr. Alfaro has been taking excellent care of my daughter. He listens to her health concerns. He has helped her get on the right medications. He gives her positive encouragement as she continues to improve her health and follow his instructions. She said she loves going to him because it really shows that he cares. His office staff are always so friendly and kind.

I selected Dr. Alfaro a year ago to keep business local. He was kind enough to fill my monthly gout medication I’ve been taking since 2017. My prescription conveniently ran out in April 2021. I called in to have the prescription refilled and was told it will not be update unless I come in for check up. Which is odd hence he never performed a check up for my gout to begin with. He has access to all my medical records showing I’ve been taking the medication for 4 years now. Then I requested a call from Dr Alfaro and was told he doesn’t make calls of that nature. This is clearly an attempt to get me to show up to his practice just to be able to bill my insurance. With Covid 19 issues you’d figure he would want to limit traffic to his establishment. But this wasn’t the case. Really bad customer service. What kind of family Doctor does call his patients is beyond me… Stay far away is my advice.

No recomiendo a este Dr. fui a consulta hace 4 semanas por un dolor de espalda y de pecho me recetaron pastillas y me pusieron una injection, Para desinflamar y Page $90 incluyendo la consulta El Doctor me dijo que si no me sentia mejor o mejoraba que regresara espere 2 semanas para ver si el dolor se me quitaba y nada no senti cambio alguno y el dolor me seguía dando no mejoraba después de tomar las pastillas . llame para volver a ver al doctor y me dijeron que estaba de vacaciones y me hicieron la cita asta que el doctor regreso de vacaciones,el dia qe tenia qe ver al doctor por segunda vez me dijeron que si quería ver al doctor tendría que pagar consulta otravez!!! Por que tengo que pagar consulta si el doctor nadamas adivino lo que yo tenia y no me funcionó las pastillas que el medio!!! Estoy muy enojada y nadamas les regale $90 dólares para que las pastillas y la injection no me ayudaran en nada!!!!!

You don't find many doctors anymore like Dr. Alfaro. He took his time, did all the tests, explained everything in terms one can understand and I felt really cared for.

Dr Alfaro is an amazing MD. He helped me for the first time when I was in great pain, and I went back to him later for general medical needs. He is one of the best docs I have had the pleasure of being helped by.

Very professional Doc, well trained (UCLA). WIll continue to see him
