List of Kindred Hospital Santa Ana's Reviews
If you’re looking for a safe and loving place for your family, Kindred Santa Ana is the place to have your family member at. The facility is clean, the staff is amazing, and everyone is so friendly. They frequently check up on the patients and the family members. Their attention to details is impeccable. The staff treats everyone like family. Everyone here truly cares. I am grateful for the excellent care they have provided for my family member. They have amazing doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, wound care, rehab, and physical therapy. I am especially grateful to Dennis, Dora, Maricella, and Thuy.

I have a deep respect and appreciation for the physicians and staff at Kindred Hospital Santa Ana. My dad was near death upon his transfer to Kindred. The medical care, positivity, and love my dad received not only saved his life, but has him thriving to the point where he is expected to return home in a few weeks. The congeniality of the physicians and staff has been invaluable for my dad’s mental health through his traumatic illness. My dad has built genuine friendships at Kindred. My family and I enjoy engaging with the physicians and staff during our visits; they are both professional and refreshingly personable. I highly recommend Kindred Hospital Santa Ana. You or your loved one will be in good hands.
Having contacted Covid19 the second week in December of 2021, I began to experience worse systems and alarming shortness of breath. We called the paramedics to transport me to Mission Hospital’s ER. I was in bad shape upon arrival and admitted into their Covid unit for emergency protocols to save my life. My wife was told that the doctors hadn’t seen such a severe case in over two years since the Covid outbreak. I was immediately comma induced to allow my body to respond to all the medication and protocols the team of doctors had learned by now to administer to Covid patients. My wife was told not to expect me to survive and prepare accordingly. Two weeks later I woke up on New Year's Day and began to show signs of improvement. Things began to look more positive and hopeful that I would recover, and Mission began to look for the next level of care for me. In two weeks, a bed became available at Kindred Hospital in Santa Ana and arrangements were made to transport me there. However, upon arrival I began to crash again and placed into ICU. The doctors started the protocol all over again. My family was notified of the possibility I wouldn’t make it through this time, but God had other plans. The events that took place thereafter put me on a path of recovery that I am privileged to share with you so you can get to know Kindred Hospital.Through the efforts of the team of doctors assigned to my case and the ICU Team brought their expertise together to monitor and initiate my recovery. The nursing staff of RN’s, LVN’s, CNA’s, Raspatory, Speech, Physical and Occupational therapy, and in-room Dialysis teams, Dietary and Food Preparation and Custodial staff all contributed to sustain and make my recovery possible. During this journey of four and a half months all the staff here at Kindred cared for me with the utmost professionalism and gentleness that one could ever ask. I made a point to engage each employee that provided care for me to learn their names, express my continued appreciation for their services, and developed a loving and witty relationship with as many as I could. They all worked so diligently in monitoring my progress, encouraged me along the way, and didn’t let me get down when I would have a bad day or set back. My love for these people is without question as their efforts have readied me for the next level of post-acute care, and the administration has taken away all my family’s concerns about all the arrangements that needed to be completed prior to my transition. If you or your loved one needs acute-care I wholeheartedly recommend Kindred Hospital in Santa Ana, to provide you with the quality of care you seek. But wherever you decide to go please be mindful that ALL healthcare professionals have weathered an unprecedented demand of their services and deserve our respect and appreciation everyday they care for us. Offer them kindness and love and it will return to you. I would be amiss if I didn’t address another key to your recovery. You must take ownership of your recovery. It’s not solely up to Kindred’s staff to make you better while you lay there in bed. YOU must help them help you by doing all you can to advance your recovery, including a positive mental attitude. It will take everyone and extended support from family, friends and your faith to have a successful recovery. Look to God to strengthen you throughout your journey and He will guide your path. The power of prayer is mighty to behold!Danny HairCovid SurvivorMay 3, 2022
My Mother broke her ankle Thanksgiving Day, 2021 and has visited the hospital 5 times, from nursing homes who have neglected my Mother’s care to hospitals that have sent her out, on her way back to a nursing home because, my Mother seemed to be getting better. This last hospital visit my Mother was sent to Kindred Hospital, my family and I, not knowing what we were getting my Mom into, took a turn for the better. My Mother is happier and has expressed satisfaction in Kindred’s care. She is finally now receiving the attention her body and mind needs. On her Birthday the staff sang Happy Birthday to my Mother and she sang along, she finally gets rotated from side to side helping her heal from her bed sore ( which required surgery from being neglected at previous nursing homes), and physical therapy.Cant thank you enough Kindred!
My mother has been at Kindred Santa Ana for 3 weeks now after COVID complications. The staff here has been amazingly supportive since the first day we walked through their doors. Dennis, the patient advocate has gone far and beyond to make sure we are receiving the care that we need and making sure all of our questions and concerns are addressed. Maricela, the social workers is a sweetheart and the most helpful person - she took the time to listen to our story and makes sure she makes a routine visit with my mom. The RN's, LVN's, and CNA's have been very helpful in making sure my mom is getting the attention she needs. God bless all of you for all the hard work and care you put into your daily work. To the entire staff who met with me to provide me with a status report on the current and future plan for my mom - THANK YOU!! Thank you for making us feel supported and well taken care of.
This place is wonderful. I receivedwonderful care. Im moving on to a rehab now.
My mother has been at Kindred for a month now. Fortunately, she is ready for discharge. It is a bitter sweet leaving, sweet because she is well enough to go home and bitter because we have learned to care so much for the staff who have been with us all every step of the way.We were blessed with AMAZING and MOTIVATIONAL. I do not even know where to start but they must be recognized.Thank you Renny, Margarita (Maggy) Franklin, Matthew, and Rosa. Your bubbly and joyful personalities really made my mom feel cared for. Thank you Will, Raul and your PT team for helping my mom gain her strength! Thank you wound care team for all the healing you gave my mom. Thank you Dennis, Maricela, and Dora for being so attentive to all of our needs, questions and concerns. Thank you Thuy (Nancy) and Teresa for helping prep my mom for her after care! Thank you to Dr Babu and all the exceptional doctors. Todd you are the best!!!My mom entered Kindred with mild to severe confusion and delirium caused by septic shock she endured a whole month prior. In less than two weeks my mom`s mental state improved and eventually returned to normality. She gained her mental state, appetite, strength and most importantly her spirits back. My family is beyond grateful for all the care and attention she received. Kindred is a place of faith and healing.
My father was a patient here. We come in everyday and the staff here were very helpful and courteous. When my dad was in ICU Erlinda was very thorough in her care and when he got out of ICU too. She was helpful even when we’re not in ICU either. The staff here were so considerate towards my dad and always help us when we have questions. Thank you so much for your care.
Buena experiencia, las enfermeras me atendieron muy bien. Estoy contento con la atencion que me dieron. Dennis y Dora.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
