Very knowledgeable and professional. Had knee replacement by another Dr. which was not done properly. Dr Esposito referee me to Dr Long who does knee revision surgery’s. Could not be happier with this Dr.

I am a former patient of Dr. Esposito. If you can find another Orthopedic Specialist please do so. Dr. Esposito performed a knee replacement on me and he left me in more pain than I had before the surgery. I informed Dr. Esposito the pain I was experiencing after the surgery and he ignored my complaints and said it was normal. I was finally given a referral to see two more orthopedic specialists for a second and third opinion. The X-rays showed the hardware that Dr. Esposito installed was incorrectly assembled and the screws were not completely tightened causing my knee to give out on several occasions. This information was given to Dr. Esposito and he still ignored the findings from the other two Specialists. Now a year later, I am undergoing another knee surgery to from another Orthopedic Specialist to replace my knee that Dr. Esposito could not perform correctly. DO NOT HAVE DR. MICHAEL ESPOSITO DO YOUR KNEE REPLACEMENT. Not only will he mess up your knee but you will have to wait over an hour for your scheduled office visits and his staff Janet never seems to know what’s going on and she will not call you back.

I saw Dr. Esposito at the San Diego location. I had been experiencing very severe shoulder pain and thought it could potentially be a torn rotator cuff. I arrived for my appointment and had to wait close to an hour and 15 minutes to be seen. Inconvenient but not uncommon for busy doctors offices and I didn't think much of it. However, when I did meet with the doctor he spent about a total of 3 minutes with me. He cut me off while I was attempting to explain my symptoms and was very dismissive. I was clear he was trying to get me in and out of his office as soon as possible. Without giving me the time to explain what I was experiencing or how the injury occurred, he made the decision to give an injection into my shoulder (a combination of a steroid and anti-inflammatory) after examining my shoulder for about 15 seconds. While administering the injection he realized that the needle was not entering smoothly into my joint and as he started to move my shoulder around he realized the joint was "catching". This was one of the symptoms I attempted to explain during my appointment. At this time he realized that it may, in fact be a torn rotator cuff and as he was ushering me out of the exam room, requested an MRI. Ok great - we're finally getting somewhere. About a week later, I was contacted by the imaging center to schedule my MRI appointment, but 3 days before my MRI appointment the imaging center called back to say my MRI had been rejected by my insurance company. I contacted my insurance company but was told that they needed to speak directly to my doctors office to resolve this. I called Dr. Esposito's San Diego office and left a message for Janet (who apparently handles these issues). In the meantime, I received a letter from my insurance company explaining why the MRI was rejected. There is a protocol and certain tests need to be administered prior to an MRI being approved, and my doctor either didn't conduct these test, or failed to provide that information in the referral. All and all I left 3 messages for "Janet" who never called me back and never seemed to be in the office when I called. Overall a VERY poor experience and I will not be seeing this doctor in the future.

I saw Dr. Esposito for a year and was never satisfied with him. My back required a procedure to see where the spinal canal was constricted and he would not recommend the procedure because workers comp did not want to pay for the surgery that the test would show. I was told Workers comp told the Dr. to no longer see me and left me in limbo. I would not recommend him...

Saw Dr. Esposito for Lumbar/foot consult by State Fund. Waited months through State Fund process. I live near Los Gatos and Dr. Esposito is basically in Orange Co. Saw him for + or - 45 minutes or so. We talked about my low back and how it affects my foot and my candidacy for decompression lumbar surgery. His report comes to me and it is about my cervical spine. A total waste of time. Fits in with how State Fund/Workers Comp delays and wastes time denying treatment. I hope he was not paid.

I was referred to Dr Esposito by my primary care doctor. I was in pain and had done a few things such as chiropractic and physical therapy. Surgery was my next option. However, Dr. Esposito changed my medication, and suggested a different treatment plan. I am now 70% pain free and if I am not at 100% he said an epidural would be recommended. Surgery averted.

Dr. Esposito is a really good doctor. He takes time to listen to your concerns and explains everything to you. Always has an awsome attitude with the patient. The staff I dont know why is very unorganized. Will not return phone calls, or update you on anything. That's why I rated them a 2.

He is a doctor that listens and acknowledges your concerns. He is very knowledgeable and skilled in his profession. He was my doctor and surgeon for carpal tunnel affecting my right hand. Surgery was necessary and the results were very sucessful. Dr. Esposito was not only professional but personable doing the treatment and care that I received from him.
