Professional and excellent surgeon. Great office staff. Dr. Burchell did a great job performing surgery on my umbiblical hernia. Dr. Burchell is the best! I highly recommend her as an excellent and professional surgeon!

Way back on September 27th 2008 I was broadsided in the middle of an intersection by two female felons running from the police. I was near death at the hospital. My daughter made an appointment over a month ago, they would not see her for her appointment today due to paperwork that they could have requested from the doctor to send over to them. I would never recommend going to this surgeon, very unprofessional front office! NO HELP AT ALL, SHOULD NOT BE IN THE MEDICAL FIELD, People are supposed to help people. My daughter is in nursing school and would never treat a patient this way!

The receptionist is extremely curt. She cut me off several times and just hung up on me. The doctor is a general surgeon but does not "do" hiatal hernias according to the gatekeeper. One of the times I was cut off was when she told me that I could not have an appointment until the office received the X-ray of my hernia in the groin. She said she would call me back after receipt of it. Three weeks later I again phoned. She cut me off again. She spoke to me in a most condescending tone. She claimed the X-ray, which she called a cat scan, never arrived. Thanks for calling me back to let me know. My insurance company referred me to this doctor, who must be a real gam to employ this Miss Sunshine. Luckily I was able to change my insurance plan. I get to pick my provider now.

Dr. Sherry Burchell was extremely helpful and knowledgeable during surgery and she makes you feel calm during the entire process. She takes care of her patients like they are family. I would highly recommend Dr. Burchell to anyone looking for an incredible and highly trained surgeon.

I do not recommend this place at all my insurance approved me for my gender affirming surgeries and sent me to this doctor I called to schedule an appointment to be judged by the receptionist she stated " we do not perform transexualism surgeries" exact words have in mind I have letters cpt codes diagnosis from my psychologist stating I have gender dysphoria and these surgeries are a medical necessity and are approved by my insurance I did not have to be treated less for wing trans gender and FYI it's not transexualism surgeries there gender affirming surgeries and if wasn't for people like you we wouldn't need to go through surgeries at all to be accepted in society and treated as equals

Amazing doctor! I've had my hernia for a long time since I was a baby and I never really think that it was Hernia. Dr Burchell saw it and she told me that we need to take care of it and even if it doesn't bother me right now but later in the future will. So I was scared at first but I tried to be brave since I never had a surgery before. The day of my surgery I was afraid to be honest Dr Burchell came to say hi and made me feel like my mother telling me that everything is going to be ok, Then I was so confortable and just let her do her job. After my surgery I was not scared at all and she actually did a great job because at first I was all swallowed and she told me, Art you will have a very nice bellybutton in a few months so I was so happy and here we go,

I was referred to Dr. Burchell by family, and I was very happy with my choice. She took the time to answer all of my questions, and address all of my concerns. The day of my surgery she went over everything again with me, and the surgery went great. My follow-up appointments were nice and she was very thorough in making sure that everything was going well with my recovery. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
