List of St. Joseph Heritage Medical Group - Santa Ana Radiology's Reviews
I am providing the following feedback for a provider within this medical group, as St. Joseph will not help to resolve this issue. I have seen Dr. Law and the professionals within his office for years and have had a good relationship w/ this office until recently. It is with great sadness that I can no longer say this. Doctor Law does not adequately manage his staff and they have been allowed to input false and derogatory statements into my medical records. The false statements records are then seen by other health care providers, jeopardizing the quality of the health care that I receive. I noticed this misinformation was included AFTER I complained that one of this doctor's PA's informed me several times that they only allow 15 minutes for each visit, regardless of the fact that I had informed their office of multiple medical issues when making the appointment. I notified Dr. Law of the misinformation and asked for resolution. I also spoke with Saint Joseph Heritage Medical Group customer experience about the issue. I have not received adequate resolution to date. My understanding, from review of HIPAA requirements, is that this office is REQUIRED to provide ACCURATE medical records. Also, they are required to include notes in the existing records if inaccuracies are discovered. Neither of these measures have been provided to date. Unfortunately, my next step will be to file formal complaints with HIPAA and the California Dept. of Managed Health Care.
My husband and I have been bringing our daughter here since she was born. Her pediatrician Dr. James Sunkook Kim is profoundly amazing. One time I brought my mother in law with me and she loved his bedside manner as well. He is the best with our daughter and I can't imagine my baby seeing anyone else. Dr. Kim is phenomenal. I'm thankful for him and the staff. There was a recent incident that occurred during our visit and Dr. Kim called to follow up and ensure all is well. I never expected a call since it was unrelated to our visit but the fact he did really impacted us. I can't express the appreciation we feel. Thank you!!!!!!!!
I have had continual problems with billing at this office. I went in for an annual physical with annual bloodwork in 2021and they would only bill as an office visit and would not provide ICD9 codes for reason my annual blood work was ordered. (The annual physical and lab work isfully covered by my insurance but they billed differently and it was denied by Blue Cross Blue Shield as medically un-necessary) After many visits to this office, they eventually provided some of the codes so that my lab work would be covered but never completed the IC9 code for urinalysis and therefore this was not paid for by my insurance. (Medically unnecessary and not allowed) In 2022, after discussion with the providence team about this problem, I was seen for annual blood work again. It was supposed to be billed as annual physical with ICD9 codes for annual lab work but they did the same thing as in 2021. (Billed office visit only and no ICD9 codes to justify need for any annual blood work) Blue Cross Blue Shield told me about this problem and I delayed having lab done while asking St Joseph to correct. Blue Cross Blue Shield spoke to St Joseph Heritage several times to address as well. St Joseph Heritage eventually sent me a letter in December 2022 stating they do NOT correct or change any medical billing. I have worked with the medical team at the office and they have tried to get the billing department to correct but they refuse. I am hoping someone from St Joseph Heritage will see this and correct how their billing department operates. DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY CASH FOR YOUR MEDICAL CARE AND DO NOT NEED ANY INSURANCE BILLING DONE.
DO NOT go see Dr.Lisa Pitino she has ZERO compassion,I needed some xtra pain meds because I was very sick.Doctors have the power to release meds early if you need them. That being said ,She said I could get them 1 day early in spite of my pleading and basically begging for help-She could see on my chart my issues So I wasn't asking for no reason ( or to get high) SHAME ON HER she shouldn't be a DOCTOR SHE DONT even deserve 1 star BEWARE
This place is horrible. I made an appointment to be checked out.... I am not one to typically write bad reviews, but you will wait here till the end of time. Never in my life had I had to wait at a doctors appointment for as I have here. I ended up leaving because they couldn't help me out in a reasonable time. I am Extremely disappointed with this place. Bad service in my opinion equals to bad care.
Horrible group. Impossible to reach the office. I've been waiting and waiting for over a week for a call about my sons physical. Not one call back to tell me anything. I've called multiple times and can never reach the main office, just gate keepers. Absolutely horrendous. Can't get any appointments in any sort of proper time period. Absolute garbage. Don't recommend this group. Can't wait to find another group.
I have been a patient of Dr Curtis for over 30 years beginning when she had her own private practice & followed her when she moved to St Joseph Heritage Healthcare. I have always trusted Dr Curtis's judgement & approach to healthcare. I have however, always hated the patient management provided by St Joseph. It is next to impossible to get an appointment when you are actually sick & need your physician. My last interaction with this office is the last straw. Dr prescribed medication to my pharmacy with an error. My pharmacy could not legally fill the prescription due to this in their words, easily identified error. They called the Drs office right away for correction & was told that it would be corrected by the end of the day. It was not & after repeated calls from my pharmacy & myself the next day looking for clarification & correction, we, (the pharmacy & I,) were ghosted. This was for an antibiotic, not a pain reliever or controlled substance. I also asked for a callback which I have never received. On my final call on the third day, the receptionist said she had sent messages to the Dr & had done all she could. This forced me to go to an urgent care facility where I received even worse care. I understand these are difficult times for Drs offices but if she could not personally take care of their error, they should have had another Dr correct the easily corrected error. Unbelievably unprofessional behavior from a physician at a time when her patient was having a potential health crisis. I will be looking for another Primary Care Physician & cannot recommend this group.
.The worst medical service, their Doctors do not get back with you on very important medical treatment. It has been two weeks and several faxes from the pharmacy alongside my calls to have them talk to me. Then I am told they sent the Doctor a message and they will get back to us . Looking for new Doctors and medical providers.
This lab is AWFUL. I had a 10am appointment and finally got my blood taken at 10:45am. They first told me downstairs that they were busy and running behind but when I got to the 3rd floor lab, there was only 1 person waiting. He was finally taken and then he left and I still sat and sat. I finally went to the desk and asked how much longer. They sent me into the back and no one was there, not even the person taking the blood. I won't be going back there. My doctor can send me to another place or not ask me to get my blood drawn.
Don't do lab work here! What is the point of scheduling an appointment when you still have to still wait another 20-30 minutes to be seen. The system they use is so outdated. They are not aware of what each patient needs to have done in advance so will have to manually pull up your file each time you visit. There are only 1-2 people drawing blood at all times. I've waited over an hour in the past just to get my blood drawn. There needs to be a more streamlined process put in place so this place isn't always backed up! Last time I was here waiting for blood work and they told me as a was in the waiting room that they had to go to lunch so if I could come back an hour later. WTF? Get it together people.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
