List of Aegis Treatment Centers Santa Barbara's Reviews
I have seen people run red lights and do illegal U-turn just to get their fix at this place!!! It causes bad traffic And people who need to get their fix. They need AA meetings in stead. Almost got into an accident with some drug addict trying to get his fix, I’m sick of it
I went here for a courtesy & I wish this was my everyday clinic. The staff treat their patients like real people & are mentally supportive. The facility is clean & comfortable. The service was terrific & quick. Kristen especially is an awesome, friendly person that is very helpful & I would love to deal with her again. I would definitly recommend this clinic above all others that I've been to.
So I’ve been going to the clinic for about a month and a half now. The first impression was TERRIBLE. It literally took me from 6am until maybe 11am to get through all the paperwork before they would give me any meds. After the initial appointment though, it’s pretty convenient.. you walk in.. maybe wait 5 minutes for tops then they open the door for you and you see the nurse who then gives you your meds, and then you are out 5 minutes later. The other issue I have is that online it says they close at 2:30pm. So I assumed that meant I could go get my meds up until 2:30pm.. mind you I had no meds left because they dose you and refill you the day you go in.. I got there at about 1:40pm and they told me that they close at 1:30pm- but the office is open until 2:30pm. I think they should have disclosed that information to me during my intake, so I was not turned away, and left without meds for the day. And it’s okay 1:30pm SHARP. If you call and say hey I’m running late, I’ll be there 1:35pm they say no sorry you have to go sick without your meds until the next day.No compassion. Also the guy who like manages the place or is in charge of making sure the patients are in line is a total idiot, and is probably the most ridiculous, rudest man I’ve ever met. He stands there barking orders like he runs the place to people who aren’t even doing anything that serious.During my intake, there was a guy who was sick off dope and needed his meds- he was trying to get through the 5 hours of paperwork too, he was from Lompoc and was trying to let his ride know when he would be done but his phone was dying. The guy who thinks he runs the place refused to let him charge his phone, so they poor guy who was sick left half way through the intake dope sick, phone dead, no ride, (he probably ended up having no choice but to cop drugs after that, if he could even get them) Moral of the story, they don’t give af!!
I have been using the harm reduction treatment model for my recovery and been able to healthy and sober (besides Methadone) for over 6 years. After program after the other and I relapsed every time. I wanted so badly to be sober but if you understand/studied addiction it’s BioPyschoSocial. After losing two parents to addiction and having my grandparents raise me. I was so low. Ageis saved my life and my marriage.I rode my bike everyday miles there and back when I first started. Now I have a job in Dual Disorders (Addiction & Mental Health) and have been able to help so many different types of people! And it was all because my first counselors, specifically Edward, who no longer works there but he ran the group I attended for support! My individual counselor convinced me to go back to school so now I have a Marketing & Management BA from the Art Institute of San Diego and an AA in Additive Disorder Counseling. As well I started volunteering at a homeless shelter and working with children.Yes sadly the percentage of individuals that make it in addiction is low but Ageis has made it so I can heal mentally, physically and emotionally! I am extremely grateful for the individuals that work at Ageis. From the front staff to the nurses to the counselors - thank you!Lastly let’s end the stigma around addiction and mental health even in the addiction community. And I recommend Ageis after you have already tried EVERY other program.
I've been treated with the utmost professionalism by this clinic, they have quite literally saved my life and given it back to me. I'm so grateful to Aegis .
The staff is extremely helpful, and remain kind and respectful, regardless of the situation. Mrs. Linda, is a real gem. I couldn’t say enough positive things about this place. It has given me the opportunity to live again, and I couldn’t be happier having made the choice to begin my recovery with Aegis!
Aegis treatment centers have turned my life around. Complete 180. I don't think I could have gotten off of heroin with Aegis. I would recommend this program to anyone struggling with opiate addiction. There r a couple areas that can be improved. Couseling for instance. I get a different counselor about every 6 months. Seems like when I get comfortable with a counselor they leave. The counselor I have now let's her personal feels get in the way of being neutral. So I dont trust her. So over all NRT has worked for me since 2008.
If you know you know ,Aegis SAVES LIVES !Great and caring staff , you guys are amazing !
Eh they have some stuff down. But need some work..
All they care about are patients they can make into success stories. For patients who are still struggling, aegis shows them the door. The maintenance program used to be about “harm reduction”. By giving addicts an alternative to heroin it gives them an opportunity to take back back control of their lives. Without the program it’s back to the day to day struggle of staying well and for a lot of addicts that could mean committing crime to do so. On the program addicts can get jobs without worrying about missing work due to withdrawal. But no that’s not enough for Aegis.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
