Dr. Charlie Sciutto practices distal point accupuncture, and I have been seen regularly usually twice per month for 10 months for both acute and chronic pain. I have experienced many treatments that knocked my pain down or eliminated it completely almost immediately. This makes me a complete believer in the power of accupuncture to heal. On some occasions, pain hasn’t dropped right during treatment, but I know and have faith that the treatments are working because I have lasting results. My primary care physician Dr. Paul Hennig recommended Healing Heart to treat severe neck pain from a traumatic injury, and it definitely helped heal me by getting more blood flow to the area and reduce pain, thereby reducing tension. Prior to that injury, headaches and migraine/migraine-like tension headaches I’ve had ongoing for years, sometimes 8/month, have been dramatically reduced due to regular accupuncture visits, to the point where I might go a couple of months or more without a major headache. Since 2010 I have received accupuncture about 8-10 per year, and since my insurance covers visits here I am now able to be treated more frequently, which is helping me to keep me more healthy, day to day. I still have headaches sometimes, but greatly rejoice in the fact that they are almost always far less severe and far less frequent! I’m coming out the other end a new person, happy to be more pain free than ever 🙏 and able to keep more active, functional, and healthy with this powerful work. Charlie is truly compassionate and highly skilled in acupuncture. His pulse taking technique is rare and well cultivated. The use of herbal medicine is rooted in his understanding of the pulse and allows for him to get an accurate diagnosis and prescribe effective herbs. Joy at the front desk is an absolute treasure. I don't review often but I had to put my two cents to promote the businesses that make a difference.
