Dr Abate does not "believe in" Covid vaccination. If you visit his practice you will be potentially exposing yourself to Covid. This is a reprehensible position for an oncologist who works with immune compromised patients. Please find yourself another doctor.

He filled in for my mother's oncologist at the end of her life. Her primary oncologist was out of town when she was admitted to the hospital. Dr. Abate entered the room, told her she was going to die and that it was her fault. After a 7 year long battle with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, here this man comes in to tell her she did a bad job and she is going to die and that she should come to terms with the fact that no treatment will help her now. He was not her established oncologist, but to see such a cold, abrasive, and unfeeling delivery of that kind of news... He was checking his watch when my mother was crying. This happened some time ago but still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Being diagnosed with Stage IV cancer is stunning, but Dr Abate has done an excellent job of explaining and prescribing a course of treatment that has me much-improved from the initial diagnosis nearly 2 years ago. I really thought I was a goner, but I'm doing amazingly well at the hands of this good doctor. He has a very interesting and appreciated way of offering realistic hope. I have absolute trust in him and really appreciate his kindness and knowledge.
