Mariko is the real deal, very experienced, helpful, and did a world of good for my issues, thank you, Mariko, and I will be back when back in town if the need arises :)

Mariko is a gentle, conscientious doctor of herbal medicine and an acupuncturist. The environment she has created is impeccable and soothing and so is she. My time spent there is healing and relaxing. It is well worth your while to explore!

Not only did she help me figure out what had been going on with my digestion for many years, but she has such a healing and kind energy about her and the way she imparts her knowledge that you feel better just being there. I actually sleep so soundly when I get acupuncture it is crazy. I also love that she is so vested in your care, and really listens. One time I fell asleep so deeply that she came in when the time was over and saw how relaxed I was and asked if I needed more time, which I did. Really amazing how much better I feel. I am continuing to go, and while I really don't like the herbal tea, she is truly a healer that I will continue to go to for my first line of defense.

I am a returning patient of the late Dr. Han to Santa Barbara Herb Clinic. I had not been since he passed, but I am very glad I returned after all these years to the new location and Dr. Horie. I received acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicinal herbs. She is a very knowledgeable and gentle acupuncturist and herbalist as well. Her formulas are very similar to what Dr. Han had prescribed me previously and after two visits I already feel improvement in my various symptoms and pain. Thank you, Dr. Horie!

I had been interested in trying acupuncture for some time, but always had fear in the back of my mind of trying it. The not knowing if it hurt or if it worked kept me at bay. I finally got to looking and decided on Dr. Mariko. She has such a calming energy to her. I absolutely recommend her as an acupuncturist and herbalist. I’ve suffered with IBS, hormonal imbalance and a shoulder sport injury for 15 plus years. My first session my shoulder pain went away. I could not believe it! It was incredible and I kept thinking why didn’t I try this sooner. I also am taking some herbs and I’ve been feeling better and better as the weeks go by. I am so happy that I found this practice and I rave about it to my whole family and friends. Dr. Mariko and Rosa are amazing, they make you feel so welcomed and they are so understanding and kind.
