She was quite nervous about acupuncture and the thought of needles being placed in her skin but Shana did an amazing job calming and comforting her and the treatment was incredibly effective in balancing her. I am 31 years old and suffer from PCOS. After a year of trying to conceive with no success, my Doctor recommended I call a fertility specialist to increase my chances with the use of Clomid. Afraid of the possibility of multiples and my reluctance to use drugs made me search for natural alternatives to fertility treatment. Within three months I found out I was pregnant!!! I am now due with our first baby girl and we couldn't be more excited. She also helped with induction points to get my labor going when the doctor said the baby was getting big. A few days of treatment and the baby has finally dropped and I am now 2cm dilated and ready to deliver any day. I would HIGHLY recommend Shana to anyone whether they need the extra help to get pregnant or not. She can help with pregnancy pains, nausea, insomnia, infertility... you name it. I went to Santa Barbara for a relaxing vacation but my back was killing me. I'd dealt with chronic back pain for years, which was exacerbated by slaving over a computer every day. I knew lots of people who had tried acupuncture, but I was a little skeptical. I wasn't convinced that it would really help. Boy was I wrong. I decided to take a chance, and made an appointment with Shana as soon as we got into town. Shana was very caring and patient with me, which was important because I was a little nervous. She really took the time to listen, and to explain everything thoroughly. I felt as though she were tailoring a treatment specifically for me. As she treated me, I started to feel tingly and very relaxed. When she was done I felt so good, as if I just received a massage or spa treatment, but the pain relief lasted much longer. The one treatment took away my back pain for over three weeks! I was so pleased, I recommended Shana to a friend with severe stress and anxiety, and she was equally impressed with her results. My only regret is that Shana isn't located where I live. I would go to her all the time. Shana was professional, incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly, and the results definitely surpassed my expectations. Thank you Shana!

Over the years, I have seen numerous Acupuncturists. I have really benefitted from my treatments with Shana. She is very gentle, thorough, and is committed to her patients. I am nervous with needles and Shana comforts and reassures me. She has even ordered special needles and will offer rescue remedy to calm me. I am perio-menopausal and was experiencing irritability and hot flashes. The hot flashes completely disappeared with only 2 treatments. Shana also does a facial rejuvenation acupuncture treatment. My skin felt healthy, energized, and toned. I would highly recommend Shana Lauer for anyone wanting to feel better.

I've never felt better! I highly recommend getting a treatment from Shana Lauer acupuncture. The first time I came in was for major stress, caring for my mom with a brain tumor you sometimes forget how badly you need help yourself. Immediately after the treatment I could feel the stress of my mind and body melt away. My mind reached a new level of clarity, the tension in my shoulders was relieved and I felt happy again. The second time I came I was experiencing seve sciatica lower back pain which was making it difficult to sleep and exercise. During the treatment I was amazed at how quickly the pain was disappearing. For the first time in a very long time, I could walk without pain. Most recently I saw Shana for smoking cessation support. I wasn't sure that acupunture could really help me stop smoking but thought I would give it a try. It's worked so far and I have found that the herbs are especially helpful for calming my intense cravings.
