United Medical Imaging Of Santa Clarita's Online Review Report Card

From what stems from an absolute nightmare of an experience as a child, I am extremely claustrophobic. UMI did their absolute best to make sure they listen and addressed all my concerns. I would definitely recommend them for any images needed.

Office was nice, clean and well decorated for Valentine's Day:) Friendly staffs, no waiting time! smooth and easy. A lot of parking spots. Thank you UMI!

I had to go back for an MRI and considering how unhelpful my doctor's office was, I am super grateful the people I was talking to at this place worked through things with me. They helped me figure out my insurance and the cost of a copay vs cash (I went cash as it was cheaper). Everything went well with the MRI and the employee was great in making sure I was comfortable and would remain so for the duration of the procedure.

I really liked the guy who did my X-ray...I wasn't paying attention so I didn't catch his name, but he was very friendly and efficient. The waiting area is nice / up-to-date and it was easy to get checked in even with the paperwork to fill out as a new patient. The only reason I knocked off one star is I had to call multiple times in the morning to get a person on the phone. The hours listed said they were open, but when I called, I kept getting the "The office is currently closed. Leave a message and we will return your call" message.

The best place to get any imaging done,the staff is courteous and friendly. I have had several different imagines done there and Always treated with dignity!

Customer service from some of you're staff is horrible. On the phone asking for someone to help in another language was in issue . Shocking .....because ones I got to the office we overheard several of you're staff speaking another language . In person they don't greet you or anything also while waiting in the waiting room we were able to hear them complain about the phone calls they we're receiving  making complaints about the patients on the phone . Since the  job is in the front desk you should have people who can deal with difficult patients in difficult situations. That's what customer service stands for .

Receptionist is rude I did not like her tone she seems to know her work well but needs more training on customer care ,the X-ray tech also was a bit impatient when asking questions about my health he said limit your answer as yes or not ,I came here last year and was treated same way probably their management is mean to them and is reflected in their behaviors other than that procedure went well but I will not go back there for my Exams anymore

The receptionist was courteous and efficient. I had an appointment and had to wait 20 minutes and I thought that was reasonable. My x-ray tech was fast and polite.  I recommend this place

Had a Wonderful experience here today. From the time I called for an appointment and the CT scan procedure. All staff were knowledgeable and supportive. Felt very at ease with CT tech Leonard who always made sure I understood each scan and positioning. All staff were very pleasant and reassuring! Thank you so much!

The GoodThe front desk staff was generally very nice and helpful.  I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment.  My technician Wilbur was very considerate and kind.  The facility is for the most part pretty clean and updated.  The whole experience was mostly positive.The BadWhen I asked for a quote on the cost of an MRI with and without contrast dye, I was told it would be $350.  I read the Doctor's MRI Order verbatim to the UMIH person on the phone and was told the MRI would be $350 for cash patients.  However, when I arrived for my appointment, I was told the MRI with contrast dye is $500.  This is still less expensive than Tower Imaging in Santa Clarita ($650), but still annoying that I was not told the $500 figure over the phone.Also, I asked a few days before the appointment if I should fast the day of my MRI appointment.  The front desk staff said no over the phone, but during my actual appointment the technician said that patients should fast if they're going to have contrast dye injected because it can cause nausea.  The dye did make me slightly nauseous, and I did not fast that morning because the front desk person said I didn't need to.  ConclusionThe staff is overall very helpful and polite, but I think this location needs weekly staff meetings to make sure everyone is providing the same information to the patients.  If people inquire about MRIs, the staff should clarify if the MRI Order specifies with or without contrast so that they can give the correct cost and fasting info.  The staff should volunteer this information to the patients because patients are not doctors or medical professionals.  How are we supposed to know to ask if contrast dye costs more??  How are we supposed to know when to fast and when not to?  We're not the medical professionals.
