List of Central Coast Oncology & Hematology's Reviews
The care from Michael Yen is top notch. He even texts you to follow up with test results as quickly as he gets then and follows up quickly with prescription and insurance issues. He also takes a great amount of time to listen to the patient before making a diagnosis or assigning tests or medications. I feel very cared for and listened to especially with dealing with my chronic illness related to blood clots.
I have been going to Central Coast Oncology since August 2022 I am receiving Quality Care, Dr.Yen Is One Real Good Man An Doctor, Who came up with an Excellent Care Plan for me! The Nursing Staff Is Fantastic, Very Knowledgeable. Extremely happy my doctor, referred to me to one of the best here at Central Coast Oncology
Thank You to all the Nurses whom are making my Treatment much better for me. Much appreciated all your Caring an Professional Treatment giving to me. Have A Wonderful Day!
I am receiving Quality Care from a Fantastic Doctor an An Awesome Nursing Staff real nice to have this Oncology Treatment Close to home. Dr. Yen has come up with an Excellent Care Plan for my cancer. I am extremely content with the Professional Care Provided to me from A Doctor whom has brought me much peace with his Care Plan! An the Nurses Are Real Professionals. Thank You All At Central Coast Oncology.
Definitely the most unorganized office I've ever had care at in all my years. Dr. Yen is always at least 1-1.5 hours behind, will see you for 5 minutes, then can't even get lab requests forms faxed over to labcorp in a timely manner. Really unsatisfied with my care through my private insurance, definitely miss the care I was getting in San Diego through medi-cal.
I was referred to Michael Yen because other practitioners were busy. I soon learned why he was not. Initially he impressed me with his synthesis of information and brainstomring of proposed next steps. His "might" do list never materialized. He was an utter disappointment. Either wait to see McMullan or go see doctors at Stanford.
My Breast cancer, stage 3, presented its self as a large 3"x3" helping wound. I really didn't think any treatment would heal that extremely painful wound. But the skill and expertise of Dr.Amy McMullen, treated me, 3/08/18 to 7/19/18 and closed that evil monster cancerous wound. She continued to treat my cancer. Plus, complications, I experienced 3/08 to presently, 3/08/20... Her staff, her partner Dr. Yen (when on call) and she showed me, great patients, kind sensitive support! I am eternally grateful. A word about their Infusion room, with very comfy recliners that are a welcomed respite while receiving multiple bags of meds and other fluids. The nurses are extremely attentive, supper kind and very knowledgeable. In my case I went thur excrutating pain, every month of my journey, they cared for me so, well, that I was able to have some good days, when we were happy and smiling like in these photos. I love CCO If you are considering oncologists, you need look no further. You will be in very capable hands!
Awesome practice and staff. The chemotherapy room is comfortable, soothing and the nurses are kind, friendly and engaging. The doctors, particularly Dr McMullen, but all, are very skilled and apply cutting edge treatments. Your care is the first priority, always

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
