Dr. Cheng has been my doctor for 9 years. He has performed my cataract surgery, addressed issues with dry eyes and cornea scarring, plus provided a great referral to Stanford for specialized eye surgery. His expertise, clear communications, thorough examinations, mindfulness of my time, and general effectiveness make me feel secure in his care and diagnosis. His staff is kind, helpful, and efficient. I highly recommend him.

I was referred to Dr. Cheng by another doctor to remove a growth from my eyelid. A very busy office and in my book a good thing! The procedure went perfectly, he explained everything he was going to do before he did it. The nurses were attentive, the front office busy but happy. You will be very well taken care of with this doctor.

Dr. Cheng is the best! He is very knowledgeable and skilled. He explains procedures and diagnoses thoroughly and he also listens to the patient's concerns. We are fortunate to have him in this area.

I really hate to write this review, as I very much like Dr. Cheng but I feel I must so that people know what they are dealing with in this office.Recently I came in for my annual check-up. Previous times I have come into this office everyone has been kind and courteous however, this visit was a complete nightmare.I was saddled with the nurse/tech "Myrna" (who it could be argued is a dead ringer for Nurse Ratched from the Ken Kesey novel "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest") who was very rude, totally unprofessional, and frankly sadistic in her manner. Aside from asking me the SAME question four times, she was snappish as if implying I should know more about optics and medical procedures for the eye than I did, slammed files down on the countertop over and over again, and shoved my current glasses on my face so hard that I have a slight bruise by my left temple. When I protested at this treatment, she tried to lecture me on that she had been doing this 30 years and she knew what she was doing, yadda, yadda, yadda, I got up, went to the front office and demanded another nurse/tech.The office staff seemed genuinely shocked (to their credit) at how I had been treated, and the rest of the visit with the new nurse/tech and then check-up with Dr. Cheng went well just as it always does. Dr. Cheng is a great guy, my family really likes him.I have absolutely no idea what this Nurse Ratched, oh I'm sorry, "Myrna" person is doing working at this medical office, but she has no business there whatsoever. To my mind, she should be given her walking papers and no referral at once!

Dr. Cheng is is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and he is awesome! He is sharp, quick, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him if you need an eye specialist.
