List of Matthew Ryan's Reviews
Had my first appointment over Zoom as a follow-up from x-rays and physical therapy after a fall. I like Dr. Ryan's approach of laying out the available treatments and waiting for feedback. Since this will be a long term problem, he said, "we can go slow and take it step by step." That's my preference, too. But he had more aggressive treatments on offer - which for a younger person, might be preferable. For me, it's good to know there are a range of options, as needed. Great, helpful staff and they've got the pandemic distance tech working with no problems.
Dr. Ryan helped me by diagnosing the fact thatt I needed double hip replacements which I was eventually able to get. He is a great listener and serious, caring and efficient. I consider his diagnosis to have saved me from a wheelchair at a time when other doctors had failed to diagnose me properly. I recommend him for first and or second opinions.
I have gone to Dr Ryan to treat major back pain for several years.
Useless
I wasn’t impressed. I’ve had back pain severe enough that I couldn’t walk more than 10’. I don’t like taking opioids for the pain, so decided to try a “pain doc” for the first time. It took 6 weeks to get an appointment with Dr. Ryan. At the appointment, Dr. Ryan told me I was overweight, ordered an MRI, and scheduled me to come back in 2 months... TWO MONTHS! He did NOTHING for my pain and I didn’t feel any compassion or empathy that I was in pain. I called another local pain doc, got an appointment in 2 weeks, got an injection in my back 2 weeks later, and I can walk again... yay!

Dr. RYAN is caring and compassionate. He has the utmost skill at performing delicate nerve ablations...(RFA). His office staff are also well trained and knowledgeable. I do not see why someone would give a poor review, unless as is common, drug seekers do not like to hear no. Just a guess.
Dr Ryan us very caring explains everything very well, the procedures, about your condition, he is attentive, listens to you and there is a very calming mannerism about him that makes you feel comfortable to be under his care.
Thank you
Dr Ryan,Is a very good anti pain doctor. I don't understand all the bad feviews as he is great at his craft. He listens to youHere gives you feedbackAnd my caudal epidurals help a bit, but I totalled a motorcycle at a race track going 95 MPH and I lifted frieght for years after that. I also rolled a car on HWY9. I've got pinched bulging hammered discs bones problems everywhere, nerves that kill me too. These epidurals in conjunction with medications are holding me together barely. But I'm about as damaged as you can get, it's bad. This epidural injection lasts about 1-2 months I feel and I'm only allowed one every 4 months through my insurance. But it helps enough I feel to do it.He's gentle, and it's really not that painful a procedure. Mainly you feel the warmth as the steroid enters the body. I'm usually sore for 5-7 days after the injection. Then I finally feel a little looser and a bit less pain. He's great!!! Thanks Doc, you are a great doctor to me.Hope this helps people out, in making a decision to have Dr Ryan as their surgeon and doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
