List of MIchael Ellison's Reviews
If I could give this doctor a negative number, I would. I understand that he was unable to diagnose the problem, but I do not believe that a brawny dude equal to his size would have received the same degradation that I did. I came to him for help when I was out of bed only a week following multiple bouts of pneumonia over a short period of time, still in pain and very weak from all the coughing. He would not or could not answer the questions I submitted before my visit, nor would he even listen to my description of the crippling series of fevers with asthma attacks that had brought me to his office. Instead, this huge man ran me up and down the semi-public hallway yelling at me like a Marine sergeant to keep up with his strides, faster faster, even as I began to cry with the pain in my ribs. Another patient entered the hallway from the waiting room to see what all the commotion was about. With the waiting room and staff able to hear him yelling, this doctor told me that the symptoms were all in my head, that there's no pill for laziness. I'll add here that I'm a professional dancer who knows how to work hard, but even if his statement were true, I deserved privacy, respect, perhaps even a referral to a trainer better than the one I work with now -- NOT public humiliation. The treatment I received was just plain abusive, the opposite of what the "Dignity Health" practice promises. If patients with hard-to-diagnose cases want compassion and a curious mind in their doctor, do not come to Michael Ellison's office.

After 60 years the doctor diagnosed the illness my mother had. No other doctor had been able to diagnose it.
Dr. Ellison is one of the best physicians I have ever seen - bright, articulate, up-to-date on state of the art pulmonology, committed to his craft, empathetic and caring!
I saw Doctor Ellison recently. He sat and listened to me for nearly an hour and was very kind compassionate and understanding. He was also very open about his experience with a certain procedure. He gave me his best conclusion for my health issue and also will be following through with me. So I had a completely different experience from the last reviewer!
Michael Ellison is unhelpful, disrespectful, confrontational, rude, and uninterested in listening to patients or helping patients receive a diagnosis. You should see another doctor and avoid Ellison. If your test results don't make diagnosis easy Dr Ellison will blame the patient for faking symptoms rather than listening and trying to help. This doctor does not have a genuine desire to help his patients. I'm so disappointed and frustrated with this person. People go to doctors because they need help and are in a medical crisis, for a doctor to turn a patient away and tell the patient they are making up their experiences is dangerous and psychotic, no doctor should behave this way. Shame on you

Dr Ellison is a modern day doctor with old fashioned values and care for his patients. He cares not just for the patient, but the person especially. I can't thank him enough for the above and beyond care he provided for a very special family friend!! Dr. Ellison.....you are the best and funny too!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
