List of Molly C Shields's Reviews
I really like Dr. Shields but it is very hard to get into se her see is booked out 3 months.
Dr Shields is an excellent doctor. She is also caring and takes time to really listen and follow up when something serious may appear. She has cared for both my mother and myself for years. She probably saved my mom's life with her quick treatment of a melanoma on her arm. "Can we come in next week? No, I want you back TODAY.!"
Staff was friendly, Dr Shields was professional, efficient, and kind. The four month wait for an appointment seems to be unavoidable these days although it seems like baloney to have the staff require that I call everyday to check on available appointments if I wanted something earlier.
Dr Shields was professional, efficient, and kind during my appointment. The staff was friendly. The four month wait for the appointment is disappointing but it is getting to be more the case these days; what is not as understandable is the method they use to fill cancellation appointments: I was told I could call everyday to see if any were available.
I waited a bit longer than I had expected, but I thought that she may be popular due to good skills. I was disappointed that she seemed overwhelmed and rushed through our visit. Most of her answers to my few questions were very brief. I felt that I'd be rude to ask for more details or to ask a followup question.
Dr Shields is a smart, caring dermatologist' that really knows her stuff. I would highly recommend her.
Dr Shields and her assistant are excellent. Unfortunately, it is impossible to see them. I've been a patient for many years. My prescription had run out, and they would not renew without a visit, but told me that they couldn't schedule a visit until May, more than three months out. When I explained that it was vital to renew my prescription for daily medication, they said I could call everyday to ask for a cancelation.
So disappointed to say a bad thing about Dr. Shields, but they really need to do something about their scheduling issues. I have a semi emergency I need to be seen, and the girl answering the phone said that she couldn’t get me in for at least four months. Then when I asked her where she might suggest I try, she said she had no idea. That is absolutely ridiculous. And very dangerous.
Really disappointed in a doctor I really like. I needed to get in for a semi-emergency, and I was told that it would be at least four months before I could get in. And the girl at the front desk refused to refer me somewhere else.
Very sad to share this. The only issue I ever had with the office was you never knew which office she was in until you walked into one and asked where she was that day (could never figure out why they would switch back-and-forth between the two offices and not just pick one for each doctor. It's kind of a pain when it's raining outside, and you have to go search for her.). But like so many other reviews, I called in to see her about an immediate, and possibly serious, issue and was told they're booking four months out. How is that possible?? And when I nicely asked the snippy receptionist where she might suggest I try going, she said she had no idea. What? Surely they would like to offer to refer you somewhere else if it was an emergency. I have to believe that this puts them in a serious legal liability. (It's illegal to abandon patients.) I'm very disappointed as I really like Dr. Shields.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
